Nicely done all'round. Sound was well integrated, animation style was rather unique and fit the subject matter (I mean, what colour other than red is one really going to be thinking about when faced with death, violence, and the undead?), and the actions and reactions of the protagonist were very realistic. It's nice to see someone actually manipulate tension and suspense for once, rather than just rely on random violence for shock value.

Dead Part 1
It is very well done. Really reminded me of George Romero's work, but this is a very original piece of work. The black and white and the bright red blood give it that intense originality. I am personally glad you didn't put "Zombie" in the tittle because I feel it takes away something. Good job all around.
I agree, putting "Zombie" in the name does kind of cheapen it- if you're going for something serious and not campy. I also didn't want to give too much away, so the viewer would be somewhat surprised along with the driver.

freaky atmosphere...
...quite unnerving, at first I thought it was going to be about driving dangerously or something. But then we see that guy chomping on some flesh, and I was like oooohh!
I love the black & white(or cream) with the vibrant blood too.

That looks cool, I don't have the very begenning of the story but it deserves my note !
There's some lack of color and the scene is not very well shown (the screen, angles and all) but I would not do as you did ^^
