Reviews for "Final Fantasy 8 Spoof"

Woah...

I thought this was going to be a lame attempt at humor, and instead I was surprised to see a fight scene that looks exactly like the FF8 game...Complete with fight stances, stats, and Limit Breaks! Whoever played "Zell" does a mighty fine impression. The movie lost it's flavor in the execution of Zell's Limit Break, though, when everything stopped while he made absolutely sure the box caught fire, and then we got to watch it burn, and burn, and burn, and burn, and....burn, and burn, and burn....and then he stomped what was left. Yay?

Original...

Very original concept, but the execution lacks. The moving camara was very annoying and made it very hard to watch, especially during the fight scene with all the stats on screen.

Then again, the concept of having a life action FF fight is very orignial, hence I gave it a 6/10 (or 3/5). If you ever decide to make a sequal, try to put the camara on a tripod and add some sound effects.

Very nicely done!

i watched it 2 times and i thought it was so good that i am putting u on me favorite authors list!
The sound was very nicely matched 2 the film.
The story was really that of an ordinary videogame which really was fun to see.

Ya!

This was so cool I made it number one on my favs! I've never seen something like this spoof. Do it again wih a different monster! Please!!!!

Way to go!!

This is the kind of content I like to see. I am really proud of you, or at least as much as someone can be over the internet. I don't get to see alot of people actually filming their friends or themselves, and this kind of movie usually sucks. but this time you've caught a very useful concept, and you should take advantage of this as long as nobody's charging you for trespassing or anything. I love the costume on the guy that played Zell, even though he didnt have blond hair. Enough compliments, time for some advice.. work on your camera skills, the view was shaking alot, it looked like you were holding it with one hand and running around. Also, try to find a way to beat the hell out of the monsters without putting your friends at risk. Like using lots of body armor and padding, that way they can take hits, act like a real monster and not feel any of the hits. Overall, the work involved was below average. Your concept is your best feature here and I am really grateful for this unique entertainment.
