Reviews for "Overprotective Part Two"

Pretty swell...

You use unlicensed music! You should at least thank Drowning Pool and Linkin Park for making such damn good songs. Animation and artwork, including sound was much better than part one. You have improved.

Sikes responds:

You my friend, are absolutely correct. When I made the credits I knew I forgot something. Please don't think me a jerk.

Spiffy

The first thing that I noticed is that your artwork has improved a lot from the last overprotective. Although the idea is a little generic, the animation is very nicely done. Keep up the good work, and I hope you keep improving.

Sikes responds:

Well if you think in general terms, nothing is original. To some degree, everything's been done, every super hero's origin is related, every martial arts movie is just fighting like any other, every car is just another vehicle, it's the little things that make a story unique. Protagonist, antagonist, every story starts with that (though sometimes the antagonist is an idea, event, or other obstacle rather than a person). So yeah, if you read into it, everything is just the same old thing, but that's no fun now is it?

nice work

I did not find anything wrong with this flash exept a slight bit boring I couldnt watch the whole movie but thats just my opinion, good work.

Good But Unrealistic

The only problem of the flash was that the fighting was unrealistic. First of all the guards kevlar vest and bulletproof helmet didnt work. But when ruben put it on it magically worked. Also It is impossible to kick through that Bulletproof helmet like ruben did. If an Ak-47 Bullet can't go through it I don't think someone's foot can. The guards also barely ever seemed to shoot but just looked around like idiots. But other than that it was a great flash.

Sikes responds:

Okay... First of all, never during either of the flashes I've done so far did the kevlar or helmet get shot through, I've been very careful with that. As far as kicking through the helmet, I know that it's not likely to happen in real life, but many movies have unrealistic moments. I'm not making a documentary, my work is fiction.

it's been awhile...

haven't seen your stuff in awhile...
what's it been? almost three years?
kind of hard to believe it's been that long since your first flash.

anyway, it was nice to see the noticable improvements in this movie... it's looking much better than your work years ago.

and although it's not very unique, you are certainly developing your own style, and it's coming along rather nicely.

over anything, I'd really work on the dialogue... it's a little lacking. otherwise, this has some great potential. keep it up... just don't make us wait for another few years again haha.

Sikes responds:

Hmm... Everyone says the dialogue needs work but that's not nearly as helpful as people seem to think it is. I have no idea how to "improve" the dialogue cause I don't understand what people don't like about it specifically. Thanks anyway though.
