Reviews for "MMPolarity Reconstruction"

Great but...

You copied the game from Metroid Prime 2 and that other game which you control a ship and fire at enemies black and white. The gameplay you put into this was all copied bit still though, it had a good plot, gj on it, it was really good.

Frankenroc responds:

The series started before Metroid Prime 2 came out. But anyway, I've said from the beginning it's a crossover of the two games.

Glad you enjoy it, though.

Very Strong Submission

Nice stuff you've got here. You quite obviously put a great deal of effort in to this, and it truely does show.

Although I've only played at a small ammount of Ikaruga, you did a very good job blending it in the the classic megaman feel. The recolouring of the sprites was done cleanly, and was overall nicely done, visually. I would have perfered a slightly more interesting background, but I wouldn't bash you for what was there.

Gameplay; well, you did do a good job, but you still have some kinks to work out. I tried repeatedly to clear the second stage with no sucsess. The reason, being the room where you encounter three 'up' lasers over pits (Red-blue-red) that press you towards spikes. The first one works as I would expect, but if you tried to go back through it, or in to the next one, normally, you'd 'jump', key-press or not, at be killed immediately or with no time to make it through or back to try again. I noticed that if you try to jump and fall in to the laser you won't get bounced up, but the hit detection on the spikes is much bigger than the graphic, so it's a percarious move. I even tried going under without sucsess. The unsolicited 'jump' also occurs in a few previous screens, but only at this one (that I saw) was it leathal.

Additionally, there are the aforementioned bugs; Bullets scroll with the screen, double jump on screen auto-scroll, nothing serious.
I'd really like to see the ending, but I guess I'll have to wait on an update.

I also found it a bit sluggish in movement, and various thinigs had been left out, perhaps unnessarily (sliding, some sfx), but all in all, it's very good.
I look forwards to seeing any future updates and projects.

Frankenroc responds:

Thanks for being able to see more of what is there despite what is not. You provided very specific details of the problem, so now I can see what some other people are talking about, so a big thanks for that.

I'll try to get a new version uploaded here sometime soon. Thanks again and I'm glad you've enjoyed it so far.

Bug ruined my game

For some reason I got stuck in the block on the third level when the second fan enemy blew me into the block. After that I was trapped in the block. Other than that nothing else was wrong. Good game

Frankenroc responds:

Sorry about that. I'll look into that. Glad you enjoyed it.

Great Job!

DUDE! I am a harcore MM fan and I give this a sure thumbs up! good job! You get my applause.

Frankenroc responds:

Thank you, glad you liked it.

Good, with a fatal flaw

I have difficulty getting my character to move, jump, and charge at the same time. This makes the final boss quite aggravating. That, and the fact that you get good ranks by absorbing shots for 10 minutes, were my only problems with the game.
