this was amazing. definately make more. i really enjoyed playing this, as i am a fan of megaman. i was new to the other half of it though and had to get used to that.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I highly recommend Ikaruga. It's old-skool but it has a nice twist which I used for this game, and I love it.
Great game
This is a wonderfull game, I've wanted to play....Ikargaldwkj (xD) for a long time now so I think I got a taste of it.
Wanna say that this game pisses me off to no end...seriously. I didn't die once in level 2 and got a 21000 score and I got a "C"...that just ended it for me. I'm sure the rest of the game is bad ass like the rest but you gotta do that rank system a little better. I'm a guy who likes to be rewarded for what he's done, that's just me.
Great game, can't wait to see your next. The game is kinda slow paced, just something to think about. Maybe you can make a remake of the original game and make a side scroller space ship. I would have liked if you used Mega-Man 8 sprite, but at least you didn't use X : D. One more thing, the first level music sounded like something from the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack, I liked how you used Sparkman for the second level and I didn't listen to 3 long enough.

I've gotten some flak about the rank system, but for the moment it doesn't have anything to do with the score. Now that you know that, hopefully it will be easier to figure out what it pertains to.
I may have to work something in to let the score have some influence on the rank, but then there are the people who would cheat and spend limitless time in the lasers to rack up their score...
That first level music is from the other half of this crossover: Ikaruga, by the way.

It does nothing, it's purely there for show. Basically it's just a little joke about how the yellow LiveStrong bands are everywhere today (at least, in many areas). Do a Google search for LiveStrong if you don't know what I'm talking about.
