Reviews for "MMPolarity Reconstruction"

Appreciate Ikaruga

An excellent form of escapism, but the bugs (like double-jumping when the screen auto-scrolls and the way the bullets follow screen changes) detract from it a little. Still, I'm a fan of Ikaruga and am happy to see its gameplay applied elsewhere.

Fix the mechanics and make it a little more fast-paced, then I'll give you a ten.

Frankenroc responds:

I'm glad you liked it despite its shortcomings. Thanks.

I LOVE MEGAMAN, AND I LOVE THIS GAME

I thought it was a fantastic mixture of the megaman and ikaruga aspects. if you put a continue button after you died to start the same level, it wouldnt be so tedious to beat it. i only got 2 cheats, but i thought it was good either way. it was very challenging and the animations were very smooth. i think this is one of the best megaman games on newgrounds and deserves a daily or weekly 1st place. you even did almost flawless music for it. you should stop making these games and look for a paying programming job at capcom, no i dont know what i would waste my free time on if you stopped making flash X/ you should definitly make a X themed game and make it overlap with this one...just an idea, but all in all i absolutely loved it!

Frankenroc responds:

You are my 100th reviewer, so congratulations on that.

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. I've already gotten suggestions for a continue function of some kind, and that will be in the next version I upload (hopefully within a couple days).

very good, grapics need tweeking though

very good megaman game, but weve seen this before, good addition of polarities, and good weapon charging, good enemies, but the jumping animation gets annoying.

Frankenroc responds:

Jumping animation getting annoying? In what way? I was trying to duplicate the feel of other MM games, and that's how he looks when he jumps in MM7.

Absolutely.... amazing.

I have to admit, I was skeptical when I started this game. I've played a little bit of the game so far, all the way through the second level. I'm more than impressed. Even though the controls were sketchy at times, the gameplay was amazing. This game runs like something of the MM Collection rather than a flash submission. I gave you all tens just for the simple reason that the two games were blended with seamless perfection. I am a MegaMan fanatic, and intend fully on playing the Ikaruga series as soon as possible. The music went perfectly with the levels, and the graphics were true to the series. I even liked the MM7 style blue-bomber. MM1-3 would've been a bit too comical for my tastes, especially in a game of this great caliber. The only thing that bothers me is the jump control. I like the jump:button ratio, he just jumps at awkward moments once the key is pressed. Landed me in a few bad spots. Just do me one favor and add a key function switch, so to maybe change the firing/polarity buttons. I don't mind the reach, it's just odd at times of quick-action. I don't even know what else to say about this game, I'm going to go back and try to play through all five levels. (And this review is saying something, seeing as how I've had...3? so far.. It takes something amazing to rouse a comment.)

Frankenroc responds:

Since you leave so few reviews, and left such a detailed one at that, thanks for giving me such a nice and detailed one.

I just might have to implement a button change thing sometime. But what I've found works for most people is using your left hand for the LEFT Shift key and the Space bar, and the right hand for the arrow keys. I hope that helps.

At what awkward moments does he jump, I'm not sure I completely understand you by that? (Contact info is in my profile.)

feh

its not all its cracked up to be.

Frankenroc responds:

I'm sorry you feel that way. Though I would have preferred specifics on what you didn't like about it. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is always welcomed.
