Reviews for "Megaman PX - Time Trial"

what a major let down!

awww man! i got came into this thinking id find an excelent magaman flash, and all i find is a meidiocre one! it has a helluva lotta potential though. make it run smoother, for starters. o yeah, think about having it mainly with a story mode and have a time trial as an accessory. eh? eh?

Andrew-Traviss responds:

It will run perfectly smooth on anything approaching a 1GHz machine, if you drop the background to Stationary or None, and leave it on Low quality. When the game runs at its intended 30 fps it is very smooth.

As for having a story mode with a time trial accessory...that's all well and good except the game would be way too large for Newgrounds, due to all the different music it would require.

Meh

You completely ripped off Zero Race which is far superior to this game. Congratulations.

Andrew-Traviss responds:

1. Zero Race had no enemies.
2. Zero Race was very poorly programmed, and ran very slowly on every computer I tried it on. In fact it's slower than my badly programmed predescessor to this game.
3. Saying I ripped off Zero Race implies that Zero Race was an original concept to begin with.

i like it but megaman and mario worlds dont mix

this game was okay but the main character is just
too slow 2 play on with the game some people might just get angrey with it if they dont hv a lot of painshince 2 kill

meh

its not bad but there are no bosses u walk pretty slow well its ok not the best but ok put bosses on next time and make em walk faster and no time limit and put more characters (protoman, etc)

Andrew-Traviss responds:

The walk as fast as they do in the real games, I'm not changing that. If you want to move faster, dash.

The whole point is that it's a time trial game. That's like reviewing a puzzle game with "Ok, you know those puzzles? Get rid of those, and put in some shooting or something". There is a non time-trial version coming up, but it will only be released on sess.net

I wanted to add Protoman and others, but there are no good sprite sheets with all the actions I need in 32-bit style.

Not Bad!

That game isn't bad,but Bass is not a Megaman X Character, and the game is too short!

Andrew-Traviss responds:

I wanted to do a full-length Megaman game in the style of Castlevania:SOTN, and I was planning to toss out Capcom's storyline. In my planned story, Bass is still around, just somewhat obsolete. Given his weak buster, I started spriting melee attacks for him. I have no clue when I'll actually have the time to build this beast, but it's still on my radar.
