Reviews for "Solus- For Schala Remastered"

whats up with the pan?

why is everything panned to the left like that

SolusLunes responds:

It's not. Only one of the piano parts are. Or maybe your sound system is broken.

not the best

on NG.really.and if you want to check some real piano go to winterwind-NS.also the muted trumpet playing a variation (in the range that it plays) on piano right hand is ugly.should be another instrument.trumpet solo begins good but developes wrong.the structure of the song itself is monotone and poor.of course it has some emotion one in all.BUT THE BEST?funny.you got a long way.in learning.

SolusLunes responds:

Ah, yes, I know of Winterwind's skills.

How would the trumpet solo "develop wrong"? I simply don't understand why you think it develops wrong. Ah well.

Monotone? Hardly. More like cyclic, though I know monotone was not quite the right adjective for what you were getting at. It's supposed to have clearly defined "verses" with the saxophone refrain.

Intro > Refrain > Piano Solo (and flute) > Refrain > Trumpet Solo > Refrain leading to outro.

I understand that it's not exactly a common song arrangement for songs lacking lyrics, but I felt it worked well.

As for the best? You can't possibly take me seriously, can you? I'm not THAT conceited.

Nice remix

That was a nice remix you did there its quite a long song. This was nice i like the flutes? in the background. It had a feeling of sadness and depression was this meant to, be like that?. The Piano is nice and had a pretty tune it was sad sounding. Im not sure if i heard the first version, but this is lovely with the diffrent sounds in the background.
Maybe only thing it was a little long but it made up with the instruments plalying

Overall a lovely track

SolusLunes responds:

Not a remix. More of a tribute. The first version is essentially the same, I just touched up the instruments and such.

Game music.

Although I'm not a big fan of the synth sax (snoballnthmonyshot is the NG sax hero), the piano work is fantastic.

The mood is very stable; not hopeful, not helpless, with only small undertones of heroism, which must define the character or the situation your character is in.

In my own head I got the sense of someone trying to rise up out of the gutters.

Well made even if it isn't in my taste. It's just that damn sax.

SolusLunes responds:

One thing to say about the sax: >:(

...I'll have to record myself doing the sax part, it's not particularly complicated...
