This game is short, challenging and a pretty good blast, considering the game's length. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel with some newer gimmicks to play with, like a dash roll. Perhaps even a few upgrades that let the player reach new grounds(pun *very much* intended), like a metal ball that lets you sink underwater, or a spiky ball that lets you climb up walls. This game has ridiculous potential, and I think it might make some pretty interesting sequels! 11/10!

tydaze responds:

Hey those are some neat ideas! Someday I would like to return to this character and make something with a little more time and effort put into it

Sick! What game engine are you using? Just curious.

tydaze responds:

I used Construct 2 for this game.

seems to be running about 4x faster than it should be, maybe because my monitor is 240hz. don't just let the browser vsync the game, lock the framerate to 60 as a band-aid solution, or calculate delta time so the framerate can be high for high refresh rate folks, or low for people on low end systems. game is unplayable for me unfortunately :(

tydaze responds:

Thank you for letting me know about the issue you are having. I just looked into it, and unfortunately the game engine I used to make this game, Construct 2, doesn't have an option to lock the framerate. Apparently the game engine matches the Vsync refresh rate of the diplay, and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it.

You aren't missing out on much, this game is not very good, the physics are wonky and it is only one level. If you are really curious to try it, maybe you could try using a different browser.

I have another game I am working on called Franco Fox in Fairyland, which I have posted a demo of. That game uses the same engine, but doesn't use physics like this one does. If you could let me know if that game also seems to be running at 4x speed for you, that would be very helpful information. Feel free to leave a review to let me know.

I like the soundtrack. surprisingly for 8bit, it’s really catchy. not saying 8bit is bad I’m jus saying ppl kinda underestimate low graphics stuff :p

Concept is great, execution is not bad
