You are testing an experimental space fighter. Its weapon is powerful, but prone to overheating. You can only fire it once every 10 seconds.
Long Shot is an endless bullet hell game, created in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 51. Survive for as long as you can against an onslaught of randomized enemy waves, dodging bullets and shooting back when you can, and aim for the high score.
Controls:
- Arrows: Move
- Z: Select/Fire
- X: Cancel
like the art style a bit simple but good
Takes a sec to get that it is different but after that this is a fun desk play

You can earn bonus lives by scoring a certain amount of points, though I may have to adjust the values as I'm not sure how reachable they are.
I think its a good concept except the gameplay utterly disappointing. Sometimes the times you lose a life will be very cheap and unforgiving. Majority of the time there is no possible way for you not to get hit.
