'Arcane Cereal Duel'

Author Comments

Play as Wizlog, an inexperienced mage who took the reckless decision of challenging the mighty Wizard Spirk to earn a glorious bowl of arcane cereal. Do you have the wits to even the odds?

Use your surroundings wisely, and the reward shall be yours!

INSTRUCTIONS: This short game plays like an 'old fashioned' turn-based RPG, with an added twist. Choose commands with the Mouse. The rest is presented ingame.

This game was created for the First Extra Credits Game Design Jam (and later improved for this upload).

The inspirational theme was the concept of "Awesome Per Second", a pretty open and unusual term which led me to look for ideas that worked well with reasonable amount of content condensed on a short form, So I made this turn-based one-battle wizard duel with a bunch of silly creatures.

Having trouble getting it done?
The game plays like a puzzle to some extent, each creature you summon has different properties which can be better depending on the timing you animate them, take a moment to analize each of them, and protect your HP!

An interesting idea in a good fight. It should definitely be used in a full game. I believe that you should make a complete game out of this system, though it should be tweaked a tad bit to be easier. I would definitely buy and play that game.

no se porque dicen que es muy dificil, para mi es demasiado facil, lo pase a la primera, pareceria que te obligan a ganar como en la eleccion de pokemon entre los tres iniciales :v

interesting concept wish it was longer. though im mad that there is no easter egg if you beat him with the scissors lol

Butzbo responds:

Thanks! yeah it's cool that you mention it since I'd like to expand on this project, and subtle details like that would be nice to expand on the characters and seting.

Hard, but awesome.

this game is good for a lol
