That's odd, are you sure you weren't jumping onto a space with no cloud or a cloud that fell as you were jumping onto it?
You can only have 1 extra life making extra life spawns pointless until you die. I'd rather get a clock or multiplier than something that won't work.

The game indeed looks cute and sounds cute, and it even has a nice concept, but that's about it.
For first, the music repeats way too often. Most likely because you'll be restarting the game over and over while trying to get a hang of how to jump from cloud to cloud and which clouds are safe to jump to. On that note, it would probably be better for the game to feature an isometric view, rather than a sideview. It can be very confusing and frustrating to fall from a cloud THROUGH all the perfectly safe clouds "under you".
I'm also under the impression that, while the mechanic of hopping from cloud to cloud is solid enough to be the central mechanic, it probably isn't strong enough to carry the game as the only mechanic.
Finally, a general rule for anything online: The less click/presses, the better. It takes way too long to restart the game once you lose, both in effort and in time.
