Very unrefined yet totally....

Needs Work
Definitely a game with a lot of potential, but still filled with faults.
While the graphics look nice and the protagonist is very nice looking, her running posture and animation is extremely awkward. It's particularly evident in her legs, which I'm pretty sure switched places during the running animation.
The second issue is the gameplay. Up till the last difficulty, the game was extremely easy and repetitive.
But my biggest issue is the shield, which proved to be pretty much useless.
In the early levels, you can easily demolish all the enemies before they even get a shot off. However, I'm ocassionally chased by laser vents all the way to a corner, and then they hit me. Now perhaps I could barely slip through inbetween the firing of the last laser and the cooldown of the second to last, but I haven't been successful so far.
In short, all the way till the last difficulty, the only thing that threatens you, you can't shield.
On the last level, the shield actually hurts you. The animation is so slow that 2 things happen
1) You'll probably get shot before it's deployed
2) While you're cowering, the enemies amass, so as soon as the shield falls, you're completely screwed.
While I've focused on the negatives, this is a good game that shows a lot of promise. I look forward to the sequel, hopefully with some story. Here are my suggested fixes.
1) Cover system: This came to mind immediately because as soon as I started the game, I thought you could cover behind those barricades.
2) Harder enemies on lower difficulties
3) Make shield actually useful
