Harald's sword-swinging is too slow and doesn't have much of a reach when compared to the enemies he's fighting.

Pillage and kidnap nuns, brutally murder all that get in the way and claim the kingdom!
Been a good three years since we submit something here! This game took a while to get finished, including three years of on/off development and a version that we entirely scrapped halfway through production. But now it's done and it turned out pretty well, so do please enjoy it!

Glory awaits!

UPDATE 07/13/09 - First off, thanks for the frontpage and Daily 3rd place! Second, we read your comments and I'll be uploading a slightly tweaked version soon, including making fighting a bit better and the boss a bit harder. Finally, thanks for the kind words, these things are always appreciated :D -gabe

needs more work
try making a better game
Meh
At first I thought this would be a really good game but a minute later, I was bored. Why? Well, the nun kidnapping thing is really repetitive, and gets boring fast. Enemies are predictable, and don't offer much of a challenge. This game didn't challenge me that much, because it has the same strategy for the nonboss part: kill all the enemies on the way from ship, kidnap, jump over the enemies at the right time to ship. repeat X3. RAGE BAR. repeat. Making the count 20 is ridiculous, and it help for gradual difficulty.
Harald's attack could use some upgrading. The range of his attack is too short imo, and it would help for a jump attack. Attacking while running would be a huge help.
The boss didn't offer much strategy and challenge either, all you had to do was mash space until he jump. I didn't see the use for his nun projectile because the attack range of Harald was short.
Needs some work.
The idea was good, but it soon became repetitive and boring. There is some lag between attacks, which is a tiny bit annoying. The enemies were..boring, the only reason they were challenging is because of the lag between attacks.

Needs some work, but it isn't a total failure
....meh
I usually like short simple and pointless games but I couldn't enjoy this. I got to the 10th nun and have to say that the enemies are too predictable, there's too much of an animation lag between hitting attack button and the attack animation striking and the godlike mode lasts a bit too long...BUT it is nicely animated the sounds are nice and I never got to the boss to judge that. A good concept but needs some touching up in my opinion.
