This is not a Corkscrew

This was made as a project for my grade 12 art class.
Using my selected object (a corkscrew) I had to make something surreal.
The idea originally was to see how many things I could see in my corkscrew that weren't corkscrews, but instead I took that and referenced surreal paintings with the corkscrew, making the whole thing more surreal.
If you watch this, what you'll see is a bunch of corkscrew pictures that I took, edited, and moved around in Flash, and surreal paintings that I got off the internet
A bit less then half the sounds were made by me
The others I got off FindSounds and Flashkit

At the end click the text to view a gallery of all the surreal paintings I included

Bizarre

I liked the melting clock in the credits. The whole time I was watching this I was thinking "This is like a Salvador Dali painting." You characterization of the corkscrews were pretty inventive. You could probably take it a little further. Make the whole land scape out of corkscrews. You could use different looking ones or close ups on just part of it. That would be neat.

well

as i was watching it i was thinking "wow it's amazing! like monty python!" seems as though Chaosportalfilms beat me to the punch however.

ernest-aka-gooey responds:

Fwhahaha thanksya
Glad yee enjoyed

Art in its purest!

Monty Python would shed a tear of pride.

ernest-aka-gooey responds:

Dayumn. That's saying something. Hahaha. Thanks.

Hmmm...

It was random... yet it all made sense...

Was this a project? Did u get an A? :P

ernest-aka-gooey responds:

Hehe good. Glad that it's random and it makes sense

Yus this was a project.
Got 100% on it :D

Wow..

Began to freak me out a bit, until I saw the referenced paintings. Then it all made sense.

Sorta.

ernest-aka-gooey responds:

Hehehehehe thanks.
That's kinda how I feel about it too: weird, but it's all basically other artists' work. They're just tied together and have some twist on 'em.
