very very impressive
i wasnt expecting much by your low expectations of mine, but it was pretty damn good. I had to watch it two times to figure out what to comment and critcize. Couple things; i say you should get a new animation for Marios running (when he was chasing the ship), it personaly wasnt the best. Another thing, it took me a while to realize that that floating shoe was actually an airship. I say at the beginning, you zoom out the camera (focused on the ship), get some pretty scenery in it, and show the scenery moving, to really get the feeling that the ship is actually flying.
One thing in general that i tought could be improved was that the movie was all action all the time. You got the heart-pumping excitment down really well, but you need to master using slower parts, and contrast. For example, when Bowser delivers his final hit to Luigi, you stretch out the last note really long, and you have a black screen for about fifteen seconds. You see Mario waking up from bed, awakened by a nightmare or thunder, and he slowly gets up, looks out the window, and a bolt of lightning illuminates Bowser for a second, as he says the whole thing about getting back Luigi.
Ehrm, i hope you understood that, and that i somehow helped you. Love your style, and i will probably see some excellent work from you.
