classic like the original but more in depth I don't really like the traps but you can beat the game just as easily without them :3

Amazing game for a 2008 flash game and I like it better than the first, but I'm here to vent how frustrating this game can be after playing it for hours recently as a time waster. Review under me covered most of my issues, and I'll add that dogs in the bottom edge of the barricade cant be shot at by survivors. Neither can you shoot gas tanks in the bottom right corner either.

However my main issue is the RNG because holy shit. Occasionally the game throws a wave of runners that are positioned to be so overwhelming to quickly dispatch without losing a ton of barricade hp, or to pick out the zombie among them with a weapon. But no, this game also had to make searching buildings RNG intensive too. Buildings with gun icons having no weapon more often than not, and instead being found in some generic house. Actually that includes pretty much every labelled building, why even have those icons in the first place? So many bullshit times where i only start finding the most important shit in town once I search the last buildings in the map, no matter the order. Oh and occasionally in Jonestown, you can search the whole map and somehow not end up getting 6 supplies.

from glitches of last stand 1 to the infuriating controls and the danger of losing your survivors from zombies carrying weapons. this has it all to make it a very infuriating gameplay from the get-go

although they did upgrade the pistol you start with so thats something new, they nerfed chainsaw, and mayhaps nerfed hunting rifles penetration and power a bit it seems. and sometimes the controls become glitched to the point where you cant move or swap weapons or sometime you first and the shot goes past the zombie it was supposed to hit leaving them unharmed. this is also annoying since it could happen when you're trying to clutch a night without barricade and the zombie, (somehow), gets 99% dodge going and just grabs you.

to make matters worse, if you retry you lose all your resources you used, Traps and the survivors that got killed do not respawn, making it even harder for you if you retry. :/ so whats the point of retry if you're gonna punish the player for making a bad play that got them killed or not being aware.
overall kinda liked the 1st one more because it was still survive day by day simplicity but this one is more detailed but still lot of things wrong like the time allocation. difficulty finding survivors or guns, traps are easier to find. and lag input was not a thing in previous game either.
