IMPORTANT: This is a rather different version of Chapter 1!
The original was released in 2007, but this version was uploaded in 2010. It's basically a 'remake' in many ways, though the plot and events are generally the same.

Unfortunately, your saves from the old version won't work due to the drastic differences behind the scenes, but there are enough differences, I hope, to make replaying worthwhile. Any saves you make in this version can carry over to later chapters properly.

EDIT (21st of August 2010): Sorry, there'd been bugs with this version for a long time! It's because I fixed the bugs on Kongregate and updated the version there, but didn't do so here... Now I have though, so hopefully all problems will be fixed.

Oh, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you have an appropriate Flash Player version! There's a screen at the start that warns you if your version is outdated. If this screen appears *at all*, then you may (probably will) experience some bizarre saving problems. Updating your Flash Player prevents them.

Died to the dragon

Oh darn. I guess I'm lazy and inept. Having 10 meaningless random battles before I got to the dragon was pointless since experience and gold were meaningless in the intro and should not have been in there. I died to the dragon because he was hitting me harder than I could heal myself. There was nothing I could do to stop it. After he killed the more powerful of my 2 characters, who could hit hard but not heal well I was left with the shitty character who could heal himself well but could do no damage.

If the one character could heal well and heal both characters I would have beat the dragon, because I could have healed every round with the good healer and attacked every round with the holy attack of the other guy who was doing good damage. Instead, I'm dead because the shitty healer couldn't heal himself fast enough.

This game might be good or something, but I don't know and really don't care...I won't be playing it again.

Pseudolonewolf responds:

With those, The Dragon's a whole lot easier! I mean, you can basically resist all damage even when paralysed...

Though it's really my fault; I should've made their usage clearer. I suppose having Deugan just mention them briefly wasn't good enough... hm.

Also, the random battles at first in the very, very brief 'dungeon' were meant to serve as practice so then you could get used to the battle system rather than as actual battles for which you get rewards...

Not bad but..

When you'll already create the second chapter?
