Normally, I've been updating this list every two weeks. Every other Saturday, IOW, so it goes "VP/penta, VPonly, VP/penta, VPonly," etc. etc. etc. each Saturday. Now, awhile ago I warned ~X~ that I might update the list on the 15th and 30th instead of the usual Saturdays (11th, 25th), because I wasn't sure what my plans for Christmas were going to be.

Aight, I knew it. That's why I added *situation that didn't happen* in my comment. I guess that sentence still confused me somehow but now I'm not confused. Thanks for clearing up what was already clear.

Once I found out I'm not leaving to join my family until Christmas Day, I realised I didn't need to do any mid-week updates, I could REVERT back to the 11th/25th Saturday updates, and if necessary, just update on Friday the 24th, Christmas Eve, if I needed extra sleep before the drive on Saturday.
That's what I meant by "My plans changed from what I was warning ~X~ about" and also what I meant by "I HAD told him..." yadda yadda. IOW, I HAD said that, but it's no longer true.

Well yeah, you'll be doublelisted soon enough. Probably before the first update of 2005... BUT... I was just pointing out that you had the historic opportunity to become the first person to enter the pentalist by doublelisting. I'm not sure it's ever going to happen, unless someone forces it insanely (i.e. gets their posts to 9900 and then waits to hit 10k until their blams or exp hit 10k, like poxpower almost did, but failed to have the patience for)... so oh well. I wish you'd blammed a few hundred more movies this month, man. ;_;

Oh well, even if you're not the first person to enter the list with TWO 10k stats in a single update... at least you'll be the first person to enter the list with 10k reviews... a stat that I added to the list nearly a year ago, even though no one was over 10k in it yet. That is no longer a problem. Hooray!

anyway, as I just mentioned to X on retrogade, the likely update schedule for this weekend's doubleupdate is probably this list on Friday the 24th, and the VP list on Saturday the 25th... doing the lists like that will allow me to get more sleep on Saturday after doing just the VP list early that morning... instead of trying to cram both lists in on the 25th (and it's better than doing them both on the 24th as then the VP list would be a 6 day update instead of a 7 day update... thus breaking my streak of only-Saturday-updates-since-late-August).

That's not set in stone, but it's likely to be the way things happen. 24th=penta, 25th=VPlist. Feel free to quote me on that, but again, not a guarantee.

Post all you want SeeD, but as far as being listed, the requirements are that you have to have one of your stats (experience, reviews, posts, blams, or protections) at or over 10,000 points.

Ah, i see now. I figured you only needed a total of 10k. Yeah, I guess blams it is then. Exp will take FOREVER, reviews would be impossible, and I don't have enough to say to get 10k posts.

Well loos like the update is late. OH well...

The final 2004 pentalist update has arrived. History of the list: What started as a list of people with exp, b/p, and/or post counts above 10,000 and later expanded into a list of people with exp, b/p, post, and/or review counts above 10,000 has now been fully expanded into a list of people with exp, blam, save, post, and/or review counts above 10,000. And thus the QuadList of the first half of 2004 has become the PentaList of the second half of 2004. For now, the update frequency is twice a month or approximately once every two to three weeks.

One of the 32 original bumped people has rejoined the list this time (meaning 12 are back overall and 20 remain off the list for now). Welcome back... (drumroll)... XWAYNECOLTX!!! He wasn't quite able to hit 10k in blams as well, so no doublelisting quite yet... however, he IS the first person to rejoin the pentalist for a DIFFERENT stat than he was on the quadlist for (quadlist: b/p, pentalist: reviews). So that's pretty cool. There are also four new additions: welcome to CrazyBreath, Swive, Ya_Ya, and j00bie! I was going to update this list about 12 hours ago, but as I pulled data I noticed joob was like 15 blams from hitting 10k, so I went to dinner, went to sleep, and just plain waited until today to do it. I was going to update this list about 12 hours ago, but as I pulled data I noticed joob was like 15 blams from hitting 10k, so I went to dinner, went to sleep, and just plain waited until today to do it. I really hope you appreciate this Christmas present, joob. You owe me. #;-}>

Well, he (and ~X~) passed you by getting on the list to begin with... and that means you must have passed at least 2 people to stay put at #58. Maybe more, if you got passed by someone else, but those are the only two I'm sure of offhand. My main presents were LOTR:ROTK Extended Edition Gift Pack thingie... and... SNOW! ON CHRISTMAS EVE. IN MY HOMETOWN. SOMETHING THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED SINCE I WAS BORN HERE IN 1977.

Well, I wasn't here for the 1988-1994 Christmases, so it's POSSIBLE it happened during that period, but I think I would have heard about that. I think I can safely say... that the snow that fell here in Houston, Texas yesterday... was the first snowfall here on Christmas Eve... IN MY LIFETIME. It almost ALWAYS snows, the rare times it does, in January... in my experience. And I was very thankful to experience a light dusting of snow as I walked outside and drove to dinner with Dani and all of those good things. What a wonderful wintery feel. IT'S SO NICE AND COOOOOOOOOLD OUTSIDE. I LOVE IT! YEAH! WOOT!

Not bad at all, man. People who have 20k+ on this list are, by definition, somewhat balanced in stats... versus people who are just above 10k... so that's a good thing in itself. Good luck on improving your b/p total... don't forget the P part of that, BTW, don't JUST raise the B part. #;-}>

Probably because he was higher half a year ago when it was the quadlist. But he's never been in the top 10, even back then. He was around #12, I believe.

And there have been some huge stat-gainers who've made up the ground in those 6 months, basically. He can get to the top 10, though, if he gets those posts, blams, and saves over 10k. Quadlisted + in the top 10 on this list... how nice would THAT be? Just him and TheJoe that will be able to do it anytime soon, I think. Maybe alexsmolik, too. And ramagi, eventually, if she keeps posting a lot like she has in the past couple of months or so. But that's not "soon" anymore, so... I'll stop there.

It's no problem, man. Well, it's a SLIGHT problem, as I should be getting dressed for my trip and finishing the packing and so forth. I gotta get out of here while it's still morning so I can go see my grandmother and other family and all (about 150 miles W by SW of here)... and then spend time with my mom and maybe dad, too (about 200 miles W by NW of here), if he doesn't have to go back to work first thing Monday morning... on Sunday, Monday, and maybe Tuesday.
