Disney Movies with Deeper Meanings

Have you ever noticed that there are Disney movies with deeper meanings in them than what was shown. I remember growing up with Disney movies and not understanding a whole lot out of them, however I've been watching them again and now I see the meanings in them that probably our parents noticed.

Two I can think of are Beauty and the Beast and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
What Disney movies can you think of.

I think it's mostly the fact that they're based off classic literature.

My blog on my reaction to watching Wall-E.
Yes, children's movie... but, man, did that leave some kind of impression on me.

Oh wait...
I'm not sure if Wall E is a Disney Movie, or Pixar... or whatever...

What? Oh please. Unless shitty second-grade morals like "beauty is only skin deep" is considered "deep".

Where are the Disney movies that show Man's constant struggle to learn of himself? Or the effect of Capitalism on American culture?

You have to remember during the 90's it was a message, and I still believe it to be a message to this day.

Look closer at The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Apparently it's a 'circle of life' thing.

Actually it's Hamlet.

Prince's uncle kills the king, sends the prince into exile and marries the queen.

The king's ghost comes back and encourages the prince to overtake his uncle and become the rightful king.

The End.

The best disney movie ever was Fantasia.

Seriously, So experimental that it was just beautiful. *tear drop*

The plots kind of twisted though.

Pure genius, I never would have thought of that.

So the more impressive concepts were stolen from Shakespeare, as the idea to have a talking lions as the main protagonists was stolen
from a previous Japanese cartoon.

Pure awesomeness. You must read it.

You're fucking insane. It's obvious that the deeper meaning is "Lion Incest"

What Disney movies can you think of.

Can you explain what, exactly, these "deeper meanings" are?

If you're talking about messages concerning discrimination and vanity, I'd hardly say that's very "deep."

I would NOT call Wall-E a children's movie. All in all, there's very little content that concerns kids because everything in the movie is a reference to something most are just too young to understand.

I think it's just one of those stupid cases where it was just generally accepted to be for kids simply because it is an animated film.
