The shadow on his face dosnt look like a shadow, you need to soften it up and add transparency.
actually it's supposed to look like that
He's a shadow manipulator as well as a shadow itself
so he really doesnt have much to put light on, besides the teeth and skull
also i only use gradient for metalic-like surfaces
