All is cool - work has been a bit hectic in the run up to Christmas (see level up!) but NG is cool.

If you haven't seen these flashes, check out Bob the Ball (only weekly #8... has been a very strong week) and VanillaCokeClock's Street Spirit - Radiohead fans will get a real kick out of the latter suggestion.

There is nothing wrong with spending excess time on Newgrounds writing reviews. There are millions of things worse to do, plus, it helps animators who are striving to become professionals know what they need to do to perfect their trade.

Cool thanks i didnt make that one but its awsome, i am getting started on some sigs, people use paint shop pro or photo shop and prob a few other programs,

I reviewed the entire Eskimo Bob run today, and it's made me go a bit peculiar. It is good, but I found myself giving marks anywhere between 5 and 8 depending on the episode. Thought it was very hit and miss.

Still, I've just hit 1400 (thanks in no small part to the huge EB run) and here's a random top 10 from my last 100 reviews. I've left out the Eskimo Bob stuff, and cheated a little by allowing review #101 (in reverse order) so that I've got 10 that I gave 8 or 9 to, and not having to pick from several 7's. I'll be repeating myself in some places from previous posts, but picking 10 out of every 100 seems a good way to do a random "good flash" list.

In order of latest first:

1) Retarded Animal Babies 7 (9)

What will be the last episode, this Christmas special isn't the greatest but is still streets ahead of 99% of Newgrounds.

2) You Are A Fucking Moron 7 (9)

Michael Jackson is an easy target in this one, the best excepting the Bush episode. It's a case of not what to put in here, more what to leave out.

3) Bob The Ball (9)

It's like a children's storybook, only containing the sort of material you expect to see on Newgrounds. You must check this out.

4) Street Spirit (9)

An excellent clock remake of Radiohead's classic video.

5) Xombie - Chapter 2 (9)

The current Newgrounds number 1, I don't need to add much more as you've probably seen it already.

6) The Real Legend (9)

A superb Zelda parody, one of the best on Newgrounds. A bit patchy in areas, but overall it's better than the likes of Link's Quest for Ass.

7) Harlequin (8)

A very good entry from kospas which might have been overlooked by some.

8) Foamy Final F'ing Fanmail (8)

A F-Day entry, this is a great example of Foamy and illwillpress piss taking.

9) Foam Shopping Network (9)

Another high quality F-Day submission, shows you all the Foamy merchandise you could never use.

10) Merry F**kin Christmas (8)

A funny Christmas short where Santa gets pissed and annoys people!

Other than darklilangel23, who has already overcome one review ban to make the list, the top climbers are Livecorpse and Tool_Of_The_System.
Top 10 is unchanged, only changes in the top 20 were me passing angstdrillhead and zack passing hamy_jamy.
It's interesting to note that Compdude has put in a few reviews, nothing substantial but the count is ticking over. Shikyou also made a few for the first time in months.

Nope, I just went crazy a few days ago and reviewed every Eskimo Bob episode. If I do an entire series like that (good for 25 on it's own) I can write constructively AND prolifically, as I can just comment on the actual episode at hand, rather than repeat comments about the technical merit of the flash. Read the last page and you'll see one day I reviewed 50+ entries...

Yeah, the Christmas period hasn't been great for me review wise either... I think I've made about 10 in the last three days - have been concentrating on picking up the blams and protects and heading towards the next rank up (should hopefully hit it by the end of the year). Will level up in two days as well, yay for me!
