Got my student loan in the other week and I'm thinking of putting a few hundred to the side for some more ink work. Feeling like getting one of my existing ones extended instead of something new though.

And yeah, I'm working my ass off lately. I've quit drinking now too for the new year, so hopefully will be able to afford more tattoos because of that haha.

as of now, i am debating between colour or black and grey tattoos. you cannot go wrong with black and grey, though i feel a coloured tat would express more. what do you all think between the two?

I got this a couple weeks ago as my first.

Plan on getting several more small colourful music related tattoos in future.

I partially wish I had gotten only black and grey, but I do enjoy colour tattoos a lot.
For my arms I definitely only want to go with black and grey, I don't mind the coloured tattoos on my legs, but I feel that's the only place I'd like them. Besides covering up my black chest tattoo, I will probably only ever have coloured tattoos on my legs. They just aren't for me as much as black and grey are. I don't like colours a lot being colour blind, and I don't think they really speak for me. I don't know, really.

Same, I'm especially worried that my colour tattoos will fade into a diluted mess and I'll have to spend more money making them look good again but I guess that is a bridge I'll have to cross when the time comes.

I once met a colour blind tattooist and had the pleasure of watching him try to explain to this really dense girl why he couldn't tattoo a colourful butterfly piece on her back, great times.

I was going to make a thread, but then I found this one, so now it's getting resurrected.

My first tattoo was two swallow birds on my back. My second tattoo is a sunflower on my right arm. I am planning on turning my sunflower into a quarter sleeve later this summer. Ideally, I want a few more sunflowers, a sunflower with a moon design in the middle of it, and some daisies added onto the sleeve. I also don't want any of the flowers shaded in, but rather the blank skin space around the tattoo filled in with black.

A lot of nice pieces in here. Just got my first one on Tuesday. It's a cross between the Final Fantasy 7 logo and a lion. In another week or so I'll be expanding off it to turn it into a half sleeve scene. Just not sure yet what I want at the bottom border of the scene.
