It wasn't so much presenting it in a way 'that's not true' and more 'getting it completely wrong'.

Well, is that ironic then?

Yeah, I know. Is it ironic that all this time I knew about irony?

According to the definition of socratic irony, yes.
But I don't believe you anyway :P.

Yeah, I don't blame you. I'm done with irony for now. I'm just excited for a new year of listening!

I could tell you more. I love Chemistry, minus the fucking tests, like one tomorrow over a chapter and the semester Wednesday, that is. Also, not much listening charts.

Wow, I thought I was bad when I listened to Paul Gilbert all the time and racked up 1,000 plays in a short time. Congratulations?

I got 11,234 plays on Stam1na and I had hardly listened to them in the last year or more.

Passed 69K plays yesterday. Just about 990 more and I'll be at my goal.

Then what? Oh and I finally got my iPod back. I missed it. I was listening to it at 1 am this morning.

Slow brutal rape followed by more rape. Actually, that was a lie. I'm probably going to just keep listening and aim for 100K. My average-plays-per-day has went down quite a bit, it use to be 190 but now it's 85. I guess that's good though.

My average daily plays will have gone way down recently as I've been listening to far more Radio 5 than music.

Mine's still at 23, and I have some things to keep me busy - a girlfriend, school, jazz band, work, and gigs. I haven't been on in four days because of a brutal ice storm. I listened to my iPod but it died on the first day of no electricity. I listened to it until it died. Fuck.

FInally, 70,000. And what better way to celebrate than by picking Seven by Necropagist.

Right behind you.

Nathan Fillion for me. Not the best track on the album, but still ace.

You're missing the whole point. It's simply a set-mark who listeners anticipate for it's completetion because they love music so much that they feel the necessity to witness the arrival of their newest mile stone of song counts. I'm not the only listener on the site doing something of such nature, in fact; 90%+ of users in this club do it.

"Goal" implies something you work towards. Like, forcing yourself to listen to more music than normal to get the number up faster.

Most people take note of milestones when they happen to hit them, I don't think most people actively work towards them

Looks good. I like having the ability to know how many tracks I've played each day as well as showing me the track milestones. However, I'll stick to the milestones I've listed on my profile as they were the original milestone tracks of mine.

That's amazing. Apparently on May 20th 2008, I scrobbled 431 tracks. Though that's nothing to my buddy, who's Last.fm program glitched the craziest scrobble count for a single day: 25,240 Scrobbles.

1.76k scrobbles on September 23rd, when I connected to the internet for the first time in a week (in which I'd been listening to music all that time..... clearly quite a lot)

If I could scrobble all the songs I played on my cellphone in the last two years; all at once, I probably gather a nice extra 50K.
