That's true, but because of the events that occurred, our top flaggers have been reduced to garbage status (i.e. jokerscard). So it WILL take a while to get back our statuses. Allwe can do is hope that a mod finds something and lets us in on it before he/she deletes it.

Yes I know that the whistle is 'Just a shiney picture in your profile' - but to others it means a whole lot of hard work, and dedication to the website to be able to be helpful to newgrounds. The picture is ultimately a sign of this dedication, and incentive to go above and beyond; apply yourself and be active in the Newgrounds community.

Wade said that Liljim and Ross are currently working on figuring out a way to get our whistles back. Although For now we're all screwed. As the flagging community we have fallen. We can no longer flag reviews and hope that it is effective. We just have to rely on the admins and hope the can solve everything.

How whistle points are earned by reviews:

Whistle points may also be earned by flagging reviews as being abusive. Users who are logged in to Newgrounds.com will see the following text below each review: "0/0 people found this review helpful. Did you? [ Yes / No / Abusive ]". When enough users flag a review as "abusive" it is marked for our review. If the review violates our review guidelines, it will be deleted and users who flagged the submission will be rewarded with positive whistle points. If we clear the review those who flagged it will receive negative whistle points

It doesn't say anything about how old the review may be, and why should it matter? I find most of my reviews that are like 6 years old at most. Do the mods care? No, they still want to help out NG by disposing of any trash comments, which is a mod's job. All of the ones I find immediately get pulled out and deleted within the hour.
