lol, cool pose, you have nice anatomy and proportion understanding, and you'r art is very "edgy" which makes it easy to recognize as yours :P keep it up

Try sloping the shoulders more. When the ones on top of the shoulder (trapezius?) are bigger, it gives the shoulders a more bow-shaped look. Looks awesome, the whole thick line - thin line thing. Flash is awesome for sketches you just have to get used to it.

Well, thanks for taking the time to try to help me out anyway. I've been browsing through a few art books lately (luckily, I was able to find a download for a bunch of Andrew Loomis books, as well as a few others). I'm trying to make my approach a little more systematic, though I still can't seem to settle on anything consistent yet, unfortunately. One of these days, I'm actually going try to get through an entire Loomis book when I have the time, as I've heard a lot of good things about them. Anyway, here's a few scratches:

As much as I disagree, I do think I should move away from anime for a bit. It's just about all I draw nowadays...
