I was not going to post this, but I had to respond your comments. I have to browse some anatomy books again... Don't you think that pose is, like, "WHAT YOU SAAAAY!!!?!?"
lol, cool pose, you have nice anatomy and proportion understanding, and you'r art is very "edgy" which makes it easy to recognize as yours :P keep it up
anyways, I've decided to whip up a sketch for every reply I make in here, so I get more motivated to do sketches, lol.
so here's a 5 min sketch of a face I did just now, nothing much.

done in math class

Try sloping the shoulders more. When the ones on top of the shoulder (trapezius?) are bigger, it gives the shoulders a more bow-shaped look. Also, when one's muscles grow, keep in mind that one's skeletal structure remains the same size, so maybe try to match your rib cage to your shoulder size rather than having the arms hanging so far away from the body.
Also, here's another quickie. I really want to master this angle, but couldn't find any reference pics, so I did the best I could (in a reasonable amount of time, of course). If anyone can do better, please show me, or if you have some reference pics, I'd appreciate that too. Thanks.

There have been a lot of good/great submissions, sorry for not commenting on them, but this is getting too long.
Anyway, remember: Love is all around.

Background for a movie I hope I have the guts to complete. Do you think it is worth it to do all this work for a background that you see for maybe 10 seconds of the movie?

Looks awesome, the whole thick line - thin line thing. Flash is awesome for sketches you just have to get used to it.

Well, thanks for taking the time to try to help me out anyway. I've been browsing through a few art books lately (luckily, I was able to find a download for a bunch of Andrew Loomis books, as well as a few others). I'm trying to make my approach a little more systematic, though I still can't seem to settle on anything consistent yet, unfortunately. One of these days, I'm actually going try to get through an entire Loomis book when I have the time, as I've heard a lot of good things about them. Anyway, here's a few scratches:
I don't think I've posted anything here before. Hmmm...
Well I've got a caricature here of someone random. It was an In-Class assignment.
Took me about 5 - 10 minutes.

Erm, thanks. ^^;
It's nothing really special, but I thought I'd post here anyway. And yeah, I don't do stuff like these very often but it was fun, I will admit. :\

As much as I disagree, I do think I should move away from anime for a bit. It's just about all I draw nowadays...
I'm glad THIS turned out half decent anyway. I've got another one too but I'll post it some other time. Leave some room for more sketches! ;P
A lot of good ones in here btw!
