Tomorrow morning I'm leaving for San Francisco, to spend the week at the Independent Games Festival and share the latest demo of Castle Crashers for XBOX 360 Live Arcade! Since we don't have much "official" music in Castle Crashers yet, I decided to fill the IGF demo with music from the Audio Portal. Currently, we are featuring songs by cornandbeans, Waterflame and Helix6. Picking out songs has been a lot of fun! We'll be considering music from the Audio Portal in the final game (complete with formal contracts, of course), so consider yourself warned... Expect Rucklo to announce a monthly audio contest with a Castle Crashers theme in the near future!

REMEMBER: Pico Day 2007 is less than two months away! $15,000 in prizes!

Check out the latest episode of Throwback the Duck (be sure to watch the second half, as well)! This is a very ambitious new series and the creators are looking for additional artists and animators to lend a hand! If you consider yourself good enough for the task (which means you are pretty darn good), drop a PM to David-Gornoski and offer up your skills! Include a link to your best work here on NG.

Throwback the duck is just a blatant advertisement for Nintendo I don't see why more people see it, I mean they make it so obvious.

Wow. That would be awesome.

I mean, I know that my music would never appear on it, but that's a great way to get AP artists a bit further into the big music world beyond!

I'd love an audio contest for Castle Crashers =) You could provide some demo clips to inspire audio artists, and:

- You'll get music specially made for it.
- You'll attract many more artists.
- You can still make clips you've found on the AP (but not necessarily made for the contest) eligible.
- It'll give the Audio Portal more exposure.

Looking forward to it (As well as the redesign and AP overhaul).
