Your playing a ROLE in Diablo II by doing the missions, you don't have to do them... They all all optional except for the bosses. Just like in Morrowind, you do missions... Click with the mouse...

yes but they all lead up 2 the same things, once again its a fun game, i just think it has limited role playing, u could argue that skipping missions is roleplaying, u could also argue by your logic that alot of games are RPGs because u can do missions in them
