what.

It's a reference to a comedy song by Stephen Lynch.

Small spacecraft flies past the alien mega-trees

Looks like one of those small robot/camera/submarine things they use to explore the abyss. I immediately thought this was an underwater scene, not space stuff. Still a great piece, though.

Beautiful landscapes. I really like the last one.

Love it, man. I'm really big on environments and landscapes.
I used to do those daily sketches on CA from time to time but I stopped. Maybe I'll start doing them again. They're great for inspiration and practice.

I'm Supialoctopod on CA

Great work. Really nice, cool colors. Kinda plain though, maybe add some clouds?

hehe I don't know about that, but after drawing a good number of these you kind of learn how to do it, what colours and brushes to use etc.
And thanks for the comment man, I'm glad you like them. :)

mm, alot of the stuff I draw looks like underwater scenes, I think I'm making the lightsources too thin.

Beautiful landscapes. I really like the last one.

Thanks <3

for sure, It's one of my favourite places on CA when it comes to getting inspired. also I checked out your art on that site, it was really cool to see the stuff you made before your thread here on NG. I'm a big fan of your landscapes and enviros :>

ah yes, this picture is actually for a flash-movie I'm making. I thought I'd experiment with Photoshop and flash combined. I'm definitely adding more stuff to it, like birds, and clouds as you mentioned.
Thanks for commenting!

You do these in Corel Painter, right? Because I just got the program and I'm having a hard time with it. I'm too used to Flash. Could you maybe have a link to some tuts or something that you used when you strted working in Painter?

Anywho, the last one looks nice. Reminded me of a Storm Trooper from Star Wars at first. Finish it.

I actually taught myself everything I know about painter. I don't know if you're looking for tutorials on how to use the tools, or tutorials on how to draw? Whenever I needed to find a tool or a menu in the program I just looked it up in painters help section.. I hope that helps.

Thanks mate. I will proboably work some more on it, but right now I gotta finish my entry for the NG art contest. I'm working on a tankmen entry as you can see.

yes it does :O

When I first looked at the pic something looked kind of off. Like the perspective.
The lower half of his body.. like his crotch area is too short.. or maybe the belt is too low?

The chest gear also seems like you started to draw it from the front view like the helmet is, but then changed the angle... looks like the middle area of the chest gear is facing you while the sides of the chest gear are at an angle. Know what I'm saying man?

On a general note, lots of good stuff in here :O

you should look into a conceptual art job. Your art resembles ArenaNet's stuff.

If anyone can spare it, I would really appreciate $0.60 on paypal PM me perhaps?

I have'nt seen anything from AreaNet but I'll check that out. And I've been thinking about doing some freelance work but i don't know if I should practice some more or just go for it.

I'm afraid that the biggest version I have of that picture is only in 700 x 600 pixels, and resizing it to desktop size will make the picture very blurry.. you can however still download it here if you want:
