A fun (although pretty easy) verse riff, a catchy chorus, and a neat solo, if not the hardest thing on Guitar Hero ever, is more than fun enough for a free song.

Yeah, they're gonna have drums, guitar, and a mic like Rock Band but it comes with a whole bunch of other cool stuff. Like, customizable characters (like, you get to make your own), creation of your own songs, plus your band can change with different people and you can kick people out or recruit new players. It blatantly wouldn't. Sweet Home Alabama is a piano track more than Guitar. Now Eruption, by Van Halen would be a Doozy, as would Hit the Lights, by Metallica.

I was playing a bit of Guitar Hero 2 this week, and I'm sure it's more lenient than Guitar Hero 3. I was playing quote poorly, and thinking "That'll be 4 stars", and it was giving 5. There's also definitely something subtly different between the Harmonix games and Guitar Hero 3, because I miss bits I know I could do if it were 3, and when I started 3 and was used to 1 and 2, I had the same problem.

Totally. When I play 2 or 80's, I cannot play it normally on expert, because it flows differently than 3 (which I'm sure we are all used to). So I have to set it to hypermode to be able to hit notes like I would in 3. The hammer / pull off flow much more realistically in 2 than any other game, 3 is much easier. 1 is a complete different story, it's a real challenge trying to nail those (few).

Ironically enough I actually made a custom for that song. It's pretty fun, but I didn't use a tab so most of it is probably charted somewhat incorrectly. I spent a hell of a lot of time on the solo though so I think that's almost exactly what Neversoft or Harmonix would have charted. It's decently tough and I'd never be able FC it on the GH 2 engine, but I think you might be able to crawl through it without star power.

I don't know if anybody does customs, but you can download it here if you want.

I still don't like the keyboard parts on Through the Fire and Flames. If we were meant to have keyboards in songs on Guitar hero, surely they'd be making a keyboard attachement for GH4, wouldn't they?

Oh wait, you're pretty much playing a keyboard when you're using a keyboard style contoller. That's a kind of realism that they can't recreate with the guitar :P

You mean at the Herman Lee solo? Yeah, alot people fail at that.

Also Aerosmith kicks arse, it screams GH 2 at you. The hammerons and pull off's are the same and the way you play it, full of chords and snippets of bad ass solo's.

The only problems are that it's too short (31 songs in the setlist) and it's pretty easy, I have already 5* all songs on expert =/

Never the less, worth it.
