In today's games I'm taking...

Germany over Sweden... 2-1 if there's such a thing as home-field advantage it would be safe to say that Germany has it.

Argentina over Mexico... 2-0. Argentina is one of the best teams left and I don't think they'll have that much trouble beating Mexico but the games are played for a reason.

Shut up, you made it wit no harm, now give Poll the statue he deserves for his unique deeds!

You think Poll is bad? For fucks sake Portugal will have to deal with that Russian cunt Ivanov who fails game after game.

Both of those yellow cards on Leduc or whoever were bullshit though...

One was a geniune tackle for the ball, the other was maybe worth a free kick...

Lecuc I think.
He deserved the first yellow card, but not the second one.

Anyway, Germany hitters are really kicking long range, and actually on target. It'll soon be 3-0

After the second goal I told myself it could probably get to four-nil...Now that the Swedes are down a man, its not gonna help.

Why do I always cheer for the underdog....?

Obviously not. I don't think it really matters though.

GAH FUCKITY FUCK. But we all knew it. I just didn't think we'd play as horrible as we did.

Well, that concludes it for Sweden...Hope they had a fighting chance though. That silly goal kick slip up was their downfall.

Hm, so now it's Argentina vs. Mexico. I'm very aware that Argentina will win, but I want Mexico to destroy them.

I think an early goal would kill Mexico but if they can keep it tight i predict a tense game.

Usually I would agree, but in todays game, I saw no reason for fault. Ludic deserved both yellow cards, the first for a violent tackle (which in no way was aiming for the ball) and the second for stopping a counter-attack with a grab (although, perhaps, he should have just cautioned him instead... still, that goes down to the criteria of each referee). The penalty was a penalty (the German player, when he pushed forward, "tripped" the other with his leg) and I can recall no offside or any other questionable call. He still sucks and has no place in the world cup, but today he managed to not screw things up.

As for Argentina vs Mexico, I'd say Argentina has some 70% chance of winning, but one shouldn't dismiss the Mexicans before the game. They still may be able to win, but it will take a lot more than they've showed so far. Im betting Argentina 3 x 1 Mexico.

Fun: THAT IS THE BENEFIT OF DIPLOMATIC IMUNITY!

The ref responded to german whining for a yellow card which he didn't pull at first, that's a pretty big mistake in my book =[

But you have to admit the he couldn't have looked happier when he showed Teddy the red card.

That's pretty reasonable, though i'd say Argentina has a 5 to 1 chance of winning. Mexico hasn't really shown that they deserve to be ranked 4th in the world yet.

Yeah! Total Pwnage!
I also got pwned today. I went to Hamburg with a bunch of friends to watch the match Germany-Sweden at a public viewing place, but they closed the gates right in front of us due to overcrowdedness. Argh! Two and a half hours of travel for nothing! At least we could get back home in time, we arrived (all panting) just the second the match started.

Sweden didn't deserve to win, I don't know what happend, the denfense has always been Swedens' strongest side but today it totally sucked.
The referee was a fucking moron though. I'm so dissapointed :(

Started with a good note today.
First game, first right prediction.

Argentina is going to beat up on Mexico like I said earlier but ya... I hope I'm wrong. Mexico would be an easier opponent for the Germans.
