Just wondering what in particular was removed that you didn't agree with? Pretty much everything posted about in this thread is shovelware and cookie cutter crap. I see WillieD's was posted about but not removed for obvious reasons. So what's grinding your gears dude?

I'm not entirely sure on this one. It's made with GoAnimate, so it doesn't use user made art, it's all premade. And the rules say you must create your own artwork and other things along those lines. Is this allowed? I've seen other things made with GoAnimate pass somehow, and they're still there, so it would be nice to know.

I've noticed quite a few of this accounts submissions have got past judgement recently too. A lot of which is stolen content. The account has been on my list as long as asitgames and gamesgrow, maybe a mod could/should check out his recent submissions for 'original' content. This account has had a number of submissions removed in the past.
I guess this falls into the 'no user made content' category.

It's a clip (GIF?) that's been run thru a filter, and he had many art and animations removed at that time. That small explanation above was all that was needed to get it removed, so someone recognized it back then.

Hi everyone. The past few months I have come across thegames8/awesomegames8 increasingly often and thought a little about what is weird about them. I have posted initial findings concerning their as of then newest game "Ultimate Ship War" in "Question about thegames8..." (http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1332917/2). The following is pretty much the same I wrote there because even those quick initial findings are in my eyes sufficient to warrant a more in-depth investigation by someone able to confirm or deny this stuff. Some of the data are 6 days old as I don't feel like looking it up again. If you don't think this amount of data sufficient feel free to look for more.

Observation 1: Games by thegames8 are pretty much immediately frontpaged.
---> This suggests a huge amount of high votes in the very beginning.
Observation 2: Their games have a huge number of votes per view in the beginning. This ration diminishes with time.

Ultimate Ship War: 4312/ 22,055 âo/oo^ 19.5% ----- 3.64 stars(current)
Ultimate Gear War: 5196/11703 âo/oo^ 44% ------- 4.27 stars --------(newest game)
Rambo Robot Mayhem:4953/27015 âo/oo^ 18% -------- 3.78 stars --------(2. newest)
Compare this to what data I gathered from the very first 7 games on the front page 6 days ago:

1061/24303 âo/oo^ 4.3% for Ghostly Me,
473/7086 âo/oo^ 6.6% for Bertie the Butcher,
1380/31774 âo/oo^ 4.3% for Obsolescence,

613/20849 âo/oo^ 2.9% for dotLife and
884/33521 âo/oo^ 2.6% for Mars Colony.
3. Observation: All publicly available information on what opinion people have on these games is predominately negative.
Supporting data:
Ultimate Ship War: 9 out of ten pages reviews rated the game at 1 star or less (90%) (6 days ago)
Ultimate Ship War: 13 / 14 vote 1 star or less (~93%) (now)
Ultimate Gear War: 3.4 / 7 vote 1 o.l. (~50%)
Rambo Robot Mayhem: ~8 / 10 vote 1 (~80)
Castle Guard 2: 6.4 / 10 vote 1 (64%)
I hope you are all able to draw your own conclusions from this. If not I will gladly spell it out for you. I will highlight some of the more interesting tidbits immediately though: Ultimate Gear War currently has 44% of its page-views lead to votes. Additionally nearly all those votes seem to be 4 or 5 stars. This is quite frankly ludicrous when compared to the normal ratio of votes per view that seems to be between 2% and 8% on the one hand and the strongly negative public opinion as evidenced by nearly 50% of reviews giving it 1 or less stars. Even more extreme is the discrepancy of Ultimate Ship War where an astonishing 93% of reviews hate the game which clocks in at an excellent (if ever-so-slowly diminishing) 3.64 stars.
There should be a way to edit <s>posts and</s> reviews. No strike-through?
Wow. This tutorial game again. Madpeter must be mad to think this is going to stay here.

Well, you have to to simple write the link of the submission on a seperate line, example:

Just without the quotation marks.

I don't know what I would contribute to that discussion. All I know is that I do my part by voting on every thing in the flash portal as soon as I can and as often as I can. Maybe the reason flashes aren't getting through faster is because this trend isn't carried out by enough users.

That's nice to hear! I also recast my votes when a new day starts to help reaching the needed votes. Bit discouraging though when some flashes are under judgement for 5 days.
Well, I think there are a good amount of reasons apart from the one you mentioned. One being that submitted content is divided in different portals, then the classic portal only shows 50 under judgement flashes but there are often more. Today is the first time that out of those 50 some of the bottom ones passed. Apart from that, there is possible less incentive to vote for the general user, increased voting power doesn't help much to counter the people who save everything and newcomers probably stop gaining exp when they notice that it takes month or even years for later levels (nothing that I mind personally but we are living in a fast paced society and other sites have different ways to level up in some ways faster). Lastly, lots of regular users show frustration over the issues with the flash portal and simply leave - and having a loyal userbase that votes on stuff daily is needed. My guess is that new users mostly check the front page and don't even vote on under judgement flashes.

They're exactly the same, yet he added a hat on the loader pic and changed the background pic. Everything else is the same.
