Your post makes no sense. Sliding.
That's vague.
Vague enough to be completely useless for helping you. >:(

Lay down the note to start out with and then the note to slide up to, double click the note to slide up to and check the slide box. The length of the note you layed that it slides up to determines the lenght of the slide, the note will fully become the slided note at the end of the layed slide note. ehh I type it confusingly but it's easy stuff.
thanks man for the help
i'm gonna try it in the morning cuz its 11:22 pm :(

Open up the mixer (F9), place it on the effects thingy.
also i cant seem to be able to record sound either with the asio4all or my general sound card :(
when i try with the asio4all it feedbacks and i cant stop it even if i mute the mic
and with my general sound card it wont record anyway
question:
a friend showed me a site to get some midi files, as much as i hate to use them but i cant find the tutorials to play these specific songs on piano. im trying to download the break the targets theme on this website
http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nin tendo/gamecube/index-sz.html
when i click the name of the song windows media player opens up and i hear the file....what am i supposed to do from here to get it onto FL for editing?
nevermind i got the midi onto fl, but now when i hit play no sound comes out, anyone know how to fix this?
please ignore my previous 2 questions i found a way by it but i do have one more question...my buffer legth is at the maximum it can go but when i but the break the targets theme in grand piano it underruns like crazy, is there a way to fix this besides turn down the reverb?

You know, I never actually thought of doing that... I just did some excessively elaborate pitchbending.

when u hit F10 and go to audio, ur ms is at the highest right? Hmm, lag city. Have you tried "use polling" "use hardware buffer" "use 32bit buffer" and stuff? mess with thos until you ccant hear the under runs. Also check the priority and safe overloads. See what works. If none of those work, you either have a crappy sound card or too much reverb.
Thanks for helping on my other questions :)... Here I've got another:
In FL Studio, how do I add reverb to one pattern? I have a pattern which I've played a melody in the piano roll in, so how do I add a reverb to only that pattern?
You can't add reverb to patterns, only channels(VSTs, Samples etc) that you have inserted in the mixer.

Well, if you have only one instrument in the pattern, then you can do what ObviousTroll said and apply Fruity Reberb to the instrument by clicking on the button of the instrument, and in the top right corner there's a "- -", so hold your mouse on that and move it up to whatever empty FX channel you have in your mixer. Open the mixer by pushing F9, then go to whatever pattern channel you set the instrument to.

You can sort of add FX to patterns, but it's a little more complicated. Under the volume slider of each channel, there's a little arrow pointing up. If you have you're first instrument in FX channel 1, click on the first FX channel and right click on the arrow where you want to put reverb (ex - I have three instruments in the pattern, and they all have FX channels 1, 2 and 3. So then reverb will be applied in the fourth FX channel. You'd click on the first FX channel, and right click on the arrow that's underneath the fourth FX channel is and click on "route to this track only". Do the same for 2 and 3, and then the fourth channel goes to the master track.)

As did I ... knew how to at one point, but then I forgot. But now I know again.
Knowledge is bliss.

If I wanted to use an organ for music, but it was meant to sound quite dark and gloomy like the organ music from, say, Devil May Cry, how can I change it to sound more like that? (although, obviously not exactly the same)

Low notes and reverb should do the trick

I don't know if this has already been answered, but the Tutorial Collab '06 taught me how to use fruity loops, you can find it in the Flash Tutorials collection.
