looked through my old deviantart account for another thread and got this idea that ithought would be neat . basically show the earliest version of one of your ocs that you can find with a basic description if they had any + how they are now with a basic description if they have any

Basically at this point ithink he was like. Some dude who fell through a massive hole into an evil lab . i remember him landing on a pile of flowers specifically for some reason [ oh boy i wonder where i got the idea for that from ]

he got experimented on to have cool edgy anime powers or whatever and has to explore the place to escape it + find his sister which he also has who went missing or something idk . icall chris at this point proto chris

and heres him now [ really need to make him a new reference but still ]

tldr guy who gets trapped in a timeloop where he dies horribly every sunday and wakes back up on monday and hes basically left to fuck around and find out to see how the loop works and how to possibly stop it

as you can tell he might have went through a few changes over the years

I technically have "older" art but she's not really the same character at that point, so technically THIS is the oldest art I have of her. Honestly design-wise she's pretty much stayed the same, but I feel like at this point she seemed more like a generic anime girl lol

now she looks like this, I think over time I simplified the shapes a lot and she turned more into her own thing than just being some anime chick I made from playing tomodachi life LOL

This is it now. I changed her real name to Waterina Rainachle(2 years ago). She is not using cape anymore but she is still alien type b. She have more powerful abilities than before. I also change her social level from a normal citizen to a queen of their water kingdom

Some sort of shapeshifting demonic entity I 1st drew, when I was 5.

oh boy, this is gonna be kind of long because I have two main ocs and I wanna showcase both of their changes

so first one is Vinn, I couldn't find the actual first drawing of him because it's in a sketchbook that I can't find so I just went with his first ref sheet

I wish I could find his oldest design because back then he wasn't even made to be a significant character, more of just a random boss for what my game concept was at the time

eventually I got attached to him and stuff changed and so his role was that he was some sort of guardian for this village, but then someone he cared about died and he no longer trusted himself so he casted a spell to turn everything into stone to try to keep it safe

currently his story is lot different especially because now he's a protagonist, and his role now is that he's a postman alongside his husband and the both of them keep getting caught in bad situations while just trying to do their job

next is Seo, and unlike Vinn I've had him for much, much longer, so he went through so many changes that I feel like just showing a before and after is not enough

so he's gonna be a lot more to explain

originally he wasn't created for anything too serious, but he had a mini backstory that he was supposed to be some sort of failed experiment, that was about it

then later for that 2019 version I kind of revised him and so the reason he was a failed experiment was because he was supposed to be evil but he ended up being too nice and he was like one of those "soft boi uwu" characters, this was honestly the worst iteration of him mainly for that reason

later I heavily changed the entire story and stuff that he was in meaning that he undergoed the most drastic changes, he was now a prince, but like he ended up dieing from this parasite that was destroying the kingdom (and suprise suprise, at the time he was who Vinn cared about in his old story)

currently he isn't any sort of royalty, now just like Vinn he is also a postman who gets caught in shitty situations alongside his husband, that's because he and Vinn are eachothers' husbands :)

honestly there's so much more I could talk about with how these two have changed over the years but I don't want this getting too long

although one last thing I can say is that I'm quite happy with their current versions and probably won't change them very much anymore going forward, especially because I want to work more on fleshing out and refining both them and the story they're in to hopefully someday turn it all into an actual game

I've had alot of ocs but I'll probably just go over my personal one I've had a lot of them but this one picture kinda sums it up. The oldest 1 I can remember was a recolor picture that was just yellow (back in my pokemon phase lol) then you got stripeo (they were the striped shirt) who kinda was the og.version of milo I guess?then you got like the 5 different versions of macaroni (there was grey Hoodie, blue with red and white stripes, no hood up, shirt and tie, then black and grey hair roni. They were all representing me changing I guess. But roni came after box who I really hate lol) then you just got milo who is probably the one ill keep since it's the best version of me ig

This Aria's initial version. She was a last minute design for my animation class, but eventually grew on me. Forgot her og story, I think she's supposed to be some blue blood chick running around with playing with swords at night idk.

This her now. Slight tweaks from her original design. She's now a homeless mentally unstable serial killer with two personalities.

Well, there's a couple that have changed a handful, but I'll post the most drastic one.

When I initially started, I wanted to take a crack at furry stuff. Wasn't too keen on it, and the snouts always felt like a pain, so I sorta scrapped it along the way. Was going for a chinese-crested dog due to their wild hair. Somewhere in September that same year, I had the thought of him as a kemonomimi: A human with some animal traits. Thought it was neat, but after that, there was a decent period where I kinda stopped drawing him.

The third piece came in out of random thought. There wasn't much to go off of, and I just put pen to tablet and started working. I liked the end result of what I had. He then became Tito at that point as time went on, keeping the personality and ditching the furry bits.

Ziker's inital drawing was nothing more than just a character i made up from my dream. She wasnt actually intended to be more than that. I decided to draw her because i thought she was really cool looking.

Fast forward to the beginning of 2023, i tried thinking of new designs for Ziker, many if which didnt work until a 2.0 design finally came through. Sadly i cant show this due to the 2 image limit on these replies >.<, but it IS on some of my slight older artworks here on Newgrounds.

Fast Forward for now, November of 2023, ive finally got a grounded, finalized design for the character. It took me months, but it was extremely worth it, and i really hope to share this character around more!

Thought I'll add it anyway to my last post as a 3rd image. Since I posted above him also as 2014 3d model as part of 'do it again meme' - this was me doing the model again 2021, might show different level of progression than the 2022 drawing I posted instead.

I still intended him to have all his jewellery, but I was experimenting with new software and my know-how of adding jingles was a bit limited. I think 2024 I give him another proper overhaul with all the intended demonic fluff and all.

I don't really remember when I drew the first one (around 2017-2018), but these are my first and latest renditions of Drumnyak (about 5+ year difference),

I hadn't really noticed until now how much my skill has grown over the years!

My character that has gone through the most changes is Naomi, and not by physical appearance, but from her traits.

Originally, in early 2022, she was a little too boring. And I didn't really care for her. She was just, there.

Later into 2022 (around the time I made my account), I started to listen to some wacky music that made me think of animation music videos featuring her. Mostly about her beating up aliens and robots and monsters and all that stuff. This is when I started to think about her more. It was also around the time I made her best friend, Ben!

She was finally a main character for me.

Even later into 2022, which was around the time I finally started to be active here, I made her even wackier by making her able to shape-shift to all kinds of wacky monsters and whatnot.

Shortly after, I realized I made her a little too crazy, and I didn't want to head to that direction, so I made her (and Ben) more grounded. At first, I made the two of them the focus of every idea. And I mean, sure, they're the main characters of my creation, but I made them the two of them the only focus of every idea. And it turns out I just, can't come up with many ideas when I have only two characters, so I made it even more ''real'' (I don't know what else to call it) by making them separate families, go to a school, focusing not only on them, but also on some minor characters, and as of now, this is the best iteration of Naomi (and Ben)

Wow, I never put this much time into a post before.

Just found this, the first player character I made for a thing a long time ago, an amazon that creatively ended up named Amy... at least I'm pretty sure that was what she went by.

First my muddling through with no real plan sometime in 2019, then going back for another go a few years later with the further pixelised version, I'm thinking I have to take another pass at where I left off and give her an outfit with more character instead of leaving the older one hanging as a mannequin.

Original bodyshape sketched while looking at an action figure, scale chibified a bit and head enlarged until I had something close to what I wanted on screen.

I still draw her pretty poorly but I'm trying to draw her the best I can year after year
