Alright folks, it's finally time!
Welcome to the NG Worst Song Competition 2023!
As you're probably already aware from previous years' NGWSCs, this is a competition that gauges what kind of terrible, bad, cringeworthy songs you can make!
The categories are as follows:
CRINGE: Come up with a song so bad it hurts everyone's ears. Terrible mixing, oversaturation, overuse of OTT, you name it, the sky's the limit!
HUMOUR: Come up with a song so hilariously bad it hurts everyone's sides. Whether it's a serious song done with fart noises, or a song that is just plain funny, this category is for people who know where the funny bone is!
PARODY: A piss-take of tropey audio, your own work, or existing songs. Actually lampshading terrible audio production techniques or formulaic progressions or melodies falls under this category.
SOULLESS: Come up with the most bland, generic, corporate drivel you could ever conceive!
When submitting entries to this thread, please make sure that you DO NOT hit Publish, but instead set your associated Newgrounds audio project to be visible to Registered NG Users or Anyone. Any piece that you hit Publish on 1) will not be accepted, and 2) will likely get removed or unpublished; you have been warned!
Each contestant can post a maximum of two entries. Collaboration is allowed, though quite how twisted you'd want to be to do so and why you'd want to do so are questions for another time...
You have TWO WEEKS from the creation of this post to submit entries; the deadline is 29 October 2023 at 23:59 PST!

On a related note, I am aware that voting for last year's NGWSC did not take place. I hope we can rectify that this year. The aim is for the listening and voting parties for 2022 and 2023 to be on separate days, either on Halloween or in early November, on the NG Audio Pub server!
If you'd like to help organise the listening party, feel free to hit me up on Discord (same username) or send me a DM here. I only accept a finite amount of people, and having a certain amount of years of experience on the Audio Portal is a prerequisite.
