Best Art
Ranking of Kings is one of the best anime series I have watched. It has that old school anime charm like Moomins or Swiss Robinson Family but keeps the story intensely interesting and dramatic. This tribute art piece definitely captures one of my favorite moments from the show's intro. Queen Hilling, may appear to take on the typical evil step mother role, turns out to be one of the most loving characters in the show. And this artist knows that!
Another character that I felt deserving a spotlight is Rebecca from Edgerunners Cyberpunk. BluetheBone is a master at illustrating art in the classic 80's style anime back when they still painstakingly used cell shading. Such artwork shouldn't go unappreciated. And it's sexy as hell. DarqV similar to BluetheBone also is a master at capturing the very essence of the old art style. Sure its an exact tracing of the official artwork, but it's a skill in of itself to bring such drawings to life!

With the nearly countless number of porn submission which are just shameless rips from 3D animations clearly made by other people, few stand out as making adult animation as well as Speedo and company. With talented voice acting, clean editing, I wish this was an actual Adult point and click game series! It was sexy and funny!

I mean what can I say? It's a hecka fun parody of the Double Dragon series. I wish more games like this and DomoKun Angry Smash Feast were made. But sprites are copyrighted so this is a hidden gem for sure! More people need to play this.
A seemingly weird game that has won me over with it's insane gameplay and power ups. Reminds me of good old school sega games like Dynamite Heady that were weird and wacky. It's still in early development but I can see this game going places one day in the future.

Funny Brelooms was accepted, but The Reboot has a trophy on it because it got Daily 4th. You're welcome to take a look for a different animation, but look for animations that weren't frontpaged, weren't given a trophy or weren't given a feature. Make sure it follows the rules as well! In the meantime, Funny Brelooms was accepted and is in the running.

Anything with the A-rating can make it extremely difficult, but not impossible to find actual gems, for 3 reasons.
1) Submissions rated A cannot win awards and are rarely frontpaged, which means 99% of all NSFW content would be eligible
2) Like you said, they get enough attention as it is. You'll have to dig EXTRA deep to find good stuff with low view counts.
For example, @Catoblepas's submissions from @OrganizedApeShape may be called into question.
3) People are lazy and point 1 doesn't help their case. Most people aren't willing to shift though hundreds of porn submissions for a chance at $50, so just post something from Speedo with shitload of views.

There doesn't seem to be a "No NSFW" rule here, so ol' Karr here may have found a loophole.

I'm more focused on games so I don't have much to suggest in the other categories. As a side note, I was amazed that The Infinite Ocean game didn't have any features or awards; it's before 2012 so I couldn't recommend it for the hunt.

Looks like fun, but I do have a question about this.
As you said, the treasure hunt is all about finding hidden gems that "slipped through the cracks", but submissions as recent as yesterday are still allowed.
To me, slipping through the cracks would better represent creations that have been lost to time, in the sense that the chances of them being noticed now are really small (so projects that were at least posted a few weeks ago).
Since you're also accepting very recent creations, is the real aim of the contest finding good content worthy of frontpage, but that was left unnoticed at the time it came out ?
I just want to make sure since depending on the answer, I might submit more recent (or older) projects.
Also, it's better if the person isn't too well-known in their respective portal, correct ?
One last thing, let's say someone submits a project they were creditted for (they gave ideas for example), but they didn't work on / touch the project in question. Are they also considered co-authors (who thus can't submit it in the thread) ?
