thanks for the invite Andrew this looks freakign sweet......
Hi! I am completely new on Newgrounds having an account made less than a week ago, but I thought it would be awesome if I gace this a shot!
Good luck to everybody!
I am going to give it a shot. This is a first for me, and I am nowhere near the other artists listed here. I have created music for some time. It is just now, that I really considered diving hardcore into my production and learning mastery of different combinations of music styles into one. I believe my music style may be unique. I am just not too sure. Willing to learn, ready for the roasting here I go.
Sednova Nova
If i can use a song i made a while ago, which is what ive read by the looks of things (for this round ofc) then sign me up
Let’s do this! I have a lot of faith in this track!
👀
why not, seems like fun

Fair warning that future rounds will require you to make a new track from scratch. You aren't supposed to start working on them until the round starts.
I have a question about that actually. I've seen in the past contests people post screen shots of their DAW project tab above the time/date the project was 'started'. Is that required for every submission? I ask because for quite awhile now, I've been using a template I've created that has my settings at a good starting point, (drum routing, plug in selections, gain staging, etc) so every project I start says it was actually started back in 2020. Is that going to be an issue?
I have no intention of submitting things I already have completed, those are scheduled releases already but I don't want to be excluded from being able to participate unless I create a new template every submission. If that's a problem I understand, but will most likely have to withdraw from the competition as I don't know if I'll have the time to redo everything, every single time.
To stand out or to be left out?
Was wondering what song to pick but i chose this :) https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1114838

That's a good question. I'm not going to require everyone to take a picture of their DAW and post it in the author's description, but some folks have voluntarily done that in the past, which I appreciate.
The rules explicitly prohibit contestants from working on the composition or selecting samples for later-round tracks before the round starts, but they don't really cover mixing and mastering templates and the like. I'm tempted to say your use of templates violates the spirit of the rules, but I also know that in the past we've let other participants use apps or even DAWs that "auto-mix and master" their tracks for them. Let me talk to the other judges about this and get back to you. Thanks!

Thank you! If it makes any difference, this is a template I've created myself and us really just for work flow purposes. It saves me about an hour or 2 on each song. I obviously adjust settings as needed per song, but it's a good starting point.
If it is a problem I completely understand and have no problem dropping out.

It's mainly just I have certain tracks set to the corresponding mixers and my drum settings are routed through Kontact in a way that is easy for me to write my drum beats and things like that.
