A place that is not necessarily inherently better than others - although I do think it is built with more honest practices than some others - but nonetheless, one of my personal homes online if I have any. That doesn’t mean the culture of the site is for everyone, and in fact, some parts aren’t my favorite thing anymore as of late. But it’s close enough to what works for me personally that I find it a good place.

I have that almost same feeling.
Despite Newgrounds being home for new creators and animators, its strict guidelines on quality tend to be hit or miss, mostly miss as well that you also have people having more firm options here as well (not as much but it's there alright).
NG Culture is rather hard to explain and it not for everyone (despite it slogan "Everything by Everyone") but neither the less, but it still and can be home for artist
the best part about NG is, that it has its own honesty and the way that they haven't changed massively since then (they didn't turn into a corporate mess).
Unlike many other sites, Newgrounds is very diverse, which I really like. For example, SoundCloud is just a music site. Newgrounds has music, as well as art, movies, and more. And because of this, you get to see a lot of different people who have a lot of different talents. One person is never the same as another here, and I think that’s what makes this site really special in my eyes. This is also the site where I posted my music for the first time so this will always have a special place in my heart when it comes to my music.
