personally the one question i despise being asked is "what you will do in the future?"its because i dont know what i want to pursue and i just want to cross that bridge when i get there.

Dude, that one is easypeasy. Just say yes. You don't have to say that you believe in some kind of entity that always watches and judges everything you do to decide your afterlife.
That's the neat thing about god, you decide what it is to you. So better make it something good, in case anybody actually asks some follow-up questions after that.
One good option might be to just adopt the definition 'god = love'. Just that, nothing more, nothing less (and works when the two are switched, just like a math equasion). Figure it'd be hard to argue against that.
