If it is indeed business, then they probably just don't understand this isn't the kind of site that best supports that method of advertising. Sure, Newgrounds may be a good potential customer base in general due to the variety of users, the problem is that we're not fans of this method of advertising.
Well I didn't mean business in the traditional sense, but in the potential value of for example phishing accounts here via these links, gaining login credentials, maybe using those elsewhere to get access to something that's of greater value, maybe just selling a user/password list to interested parties, or building a botnet, installing keyloggers and other malware to harvest user data... there's a lot of shadier ways they could monetize something like this if people just click those links.
If nobody clicks though, of course, no dice. :) I'd like to think maybe we're a bit more savvy about this stuff here than on a lot of other communities, but who knows, there might still be a certain small percentage of people who make it worth the effort if that is what they're trying to do...
Who knows, if they are indeed here for business maybe setting them straight may be a good business opportunity for Newgrounds by helping Newgrounds be a little bit of a bigger name from the good example we're setting. Assuming word of this good deed spreads of course.
If it is a straight-forward business thing that'd definitely be cool though. Maybe it is. Would really be interesting to know...
