Time to clean your bloodied armor and gear up for another battle - the Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch 2017 Round of 16 is here! Need a refresher on what the NGADM is? Click here!

The remaining competitors have until August 21st to craft their squeaky-clean, brand-new tracks! Thanks as always to the judges, @Bosa, @ChronoNomad, @ADR3-N, @Samulis, @SkyeWint, and @TaintedLogic.

In addition, we owe our gratitude to @LucidShadowDreamer for using his own news page to keep users informed of the competition, @LunacyEcho for providing some stellar statistical analysis, and @Ceevro for our badass logo (below). A hearty congratulations to all who made it into the Round of 16! The battles were definitely of the pitched variety, and each victory was hard-fought. All twenty-nine of you who rallied to the call have earned my - nay, our - undying respect.

Just like last round, if you need to pull out of the contest for any reason, although I certainly don't advise it at this stage, PLEASE LET US KNOW IMMEDIATELY! The sooner we know, the sooner we can let the next in line back in for another shot at glory.

like i put basically no effort in compared to last round and most judges gave me a pretty similar (albeit slightly lower) score :v

also way to rub in how shit i did ya cheeky fucker :P

Seriously, I think I do better without pressure. Both my audition in the last NGUAC and this contest have better scores than those made in the rounds, and I always choose the latest track for audition.

Things are really heating up in the Audio Deathmatch now!

With just 16 competitors left from a starting Audition pool of 235, it's anybody's game. Some are making predictions, others are busy getting a jump on the competition, and most if not all of you are probably relieved that - win or lose - the Round of 32 is over!

But now we find ourselves in the Round of 16, and the clock is once again ticking. While I know that deadlines tend to be stressful by nature, try not to let it get to you. There's quite a bit time left at this point in the round, and each one of you has proven that you've got what it takes to pick up the gauntlet and run with it.

Keep giving it all you've got, right up until the bitter end. That's the only way to earn your spot in the Quarterfinals.

Good luck to you too! I really enjoyed your work for the last round. The work you're putting out is fantastic, especially considering that you're only 15, so I'm excited to see what you create for this round and in the future in general :)
