Not saying the two things can't go hand in hand Rahmemhomotep. You should be friends with your partner, absolutely. Once you're old and grey and sex is but a sweet memory of your past, you want to still be able to laugh and smile with the old grey person you've spent your life with. Its important then more than ever to be friends with your partner.
My point is that generally nice guys PRETEND to just want to be a girls friend in order to get with her sexually. And then make out that they are the victims in it all when the girl just wants to remain friends with them. As if getting sex should be their reward for tying to be friends with a girl.
