For the sake of leaving no stone unturned, is there anything wrong with my entry?
http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/bcfa023b0cc298a76417da97e74a12be

I notice that when it plays in the collab, the sound has a bit more distortion than the original file

Ohh, there is a misspelling in my name. Apart from that, it is incredible. It is a shame that there are some that don't play.

Has anyone heard of a website called join.me? It's very good for screensharing and I'm hoping somebody who can open the file would be willing to let me try to fix it on their cpu. Pweeze. <-- look, I misspelled it and everything.

However each clip will be loaded later, and there would be no need to have a preloader at the beginning of the file ;) Besides the fact that we need to upload the clip on a permanent server so they won't be any missing scenes if files were deleted <-- hard work
Sorry, but that wouldn't help the case :'(

Yeah, that'd be the problem. If no other way works though I can't think of another solution, you wouldn't have to preload every part, just the largest/most resource-intense ones. They could be hosted in the NG dump, it's permanent, public and should allow hot-linking since the files are still on NG servers.

I'll keep my thumbs tacked!

Vaguely already posted the full batch of parts a few pages back, and A-Genius posted the ones still erroring. Files are here and here.

We can always just keep the menu, then just embed the rest of it as video in the animation, right?

The collab is not dead! Don't lose hope.
All we need to do is reconstruct the main section.
If anyone is up to the task, help would really be appreciated (Fat-Footy is attempting to solve the issue but more help may be required)

For anyone who could help remake the main section (playing the animations in order with some navigation buttons linking them):

Here are all of the separate animation parts:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/2z21bo4947bit7f/Collab+Parts.zip
and
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24753651/Need%20to%20be%20added.zip

The menu, preloader and credits all work fine at the moment so nothing extra will be needed to be done on those.

Here are some things you should be aware of before undertaking the task:
- blacklemons and vlikevance's parts are enormous and are likely going to have to be loaded in separately so as not to mess up the rest of the project
- newbie97's part contains loads of hidden stop(); actions and may be causing some of the issues
- vcams will be needed to be placed on the clips which do not currently contain them (otherwise their dimensions will be the same as the last vcam instance used)
- I added some extra audio to a couple of the submissions upon request (newsiotv and larrynachos' parts)... the versions in the zip are the older copies so I shall need to send you the newer versions
also here are all the extra fonts needed:
http://www.dafont.com/stranded.font
http://www.dafont.com/large9.font
http://www.fontyukle.net/en/DownLoad-TekutekuAL.ttf

http://www.dafont.com/infected.font

Below is a simple diagram detailing the strategy of the plan to solve the issue:

Actually that's a really good idea.
Do you think we would still be able to use navigation buttons with that method?

Hmm.... Maybe if there's an action to skip to different parts of the video. It would take some heavy scripting, though.

If it opens for me this time, I'd be willing to do that. Lend me (and whoever else is trying this) your powerz, guys.

Not even mine opens. I honest to goodness am willing to do the programming if someone who can open this would screenshare with me.

Ok right...
From what I can see we have two options. These are as follows:

Option 1 - Reconstruct the main section with the animations in and keep the project entirely swf based
Option 2 - Embed the video within the project (an example of this in action can be seen here: link)

Here are the advantages and disadvantages of each method:

Option 1:

Advantages:
Would be the highest possible quality
Navigation buttons would be available

Disadvantage:
Already attempted this method once but a lot of issues occurred (sound lag, frozen clips and issues with large file sizes crashing flash)
Would take longer to fix

Option 2:

Advantages:
Would not have issues which were previously faced (sound issues, frozen clips and problems with large file sizes)
Would take less time then option 1 to do
Would still be able to use the credits, preloader and menu (could also add in the small looping animations into a separate section of the file)

Disadvantages:
Slight reduction in quality of animations
Probably no navigation buttons except for a button which returns the user to the menu

So... what option do you guys think we should try? (will likely try both solutions anyway)

- I know everyone was hoping the animation would be on Halloween, but I believe that the project will still be just as fantastic as was promised.
