That's awesome. Solid progress. It's buggy as hell on FF though, can barely move around at all, and the walls just black out every once in a while, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses. A HTML5 version of Doom? :D That would be amazing...
I feel once this is in full swing we will see a lot more Doom/Wolfenstein/Quake games and not just regular FPS.

You think so? I hope so. :)
The unreal engine has an AS3 version.

This. I still find it pretty cool, but redundant.

Hand+gun is from call of duty/black ops. Barrels are from Half-Life 2.
Sounds hardcore-processor, *snort*
There are plenty of interactive 3D environments like this being touted in the Chrome Experiments webpage (sans the weapon). Hell, Firefox already has a browser-native multiplayer RPG for its desktop browser.
I hope to see the developers behind this expand and optimize their code a bit for future endeavors. Glitchless, frequently-patched games in HTML5? Count me in.

Yeah,
on top of that I keep thinking about the integration of web sockets and how revolutionary it may be for online gaming
it's not 3d for me somehow, just a big rectangle being rotated

Yeah funfortunately there isn't some 3rd party plug-in we can download and install that will seamlessly display the content the same way in all browsers...
It's all based on how the web browser engine renders the code.
I am curious though, Gimmick & ClockWordSpace, which browsers are you guys using?
1) Get up on the highest crate.
2) Look up.
3) Hold the space bar down for a while.
4) STARE

I may be wrong but LiquidFire may be pointing out the futility of the demo.
If that's the case it's important to remember that it's just a demo.

You are really good at seing which post goes to what username.
This can be played in browser too, and it's a lot better. Think it might only work on Firefox though, not sure.
