We're a multicultural society, built on the backs of immigrants from the past and present. We have no official national language. Sure, a majority of people in America speak English but that doesn't mean it should be a requirement. Although I do agree that immigrants should at least attempt to learn English, whether it be through school or possibly a free/cheap program aimed for those who don't have access to institutions of education for the subject.

People should be able to take jokes, I agree with that. However, when political incorrectness transitions from humor to a mindset then it becomes a problem. I'm guessing he isn't too bright. It's bad enough that somebody would put ugly bumper stickers all over their truck, but the dumb as shit messages that they convey make it worse.

Not really because if they wish to succeed beyond a certain point then they would need to learn English. You're not going to have a bank clerk, for example, who can't speak English in a mainstream establishment. I just don't agree with the perspective of "they are different, kick 'em out" which is definitely the impression that I and surely countless others have gotten.

Yes, our country was established by English speakers, however they never instituted an official language and neither has anyone else after them. Our common language may be English here but that doesn't mean that there is a requirement to speak it in order to live here. I'm not even going to acknowledge the second part of your post.
