Average weight for a 6 ft man is around say 75 kilograms. You're falling 10 ft, which is roughly 3 meters plus how much you jump upwards which is, let's say, .5 meters, giving a total of 3.5 meters. Basic physics says you'll be hitting the ground with a velocity of 7.84 meters per second. When you're hitting the ground, you're going from 7.84 m/s to 0m/s, which is an acceleration of 7.84 m/s^2. 7.84 m/s^2 multiplied by the mass of 75 kg gives a force of 585 newtons, which is about roughly 129 pounds of force. The breaking point of bones is 20 to 30 pounds of force.
Sincerely,
