400 push ups 2013-01-02 20:21:01

Today was a weird day, it wasn't particularly boring but for whatever reason I found myself doing push ips for no reason. I lost count after around 150 so I'll just assume I did 400+ and brag about it here.

I'm going to feel this tomorrow.

I'm more of a sit-ups man myself.

Clearly you're lying. You would remember how many you have done. I personally can do 200, which involves count keeping. Hwoever, you could be one of those... err... people who become mentally challenged under pressure.

You do not make examples, you make excuses; you do not solve problems, you shift problems; you do not stand behind your statements, you stand behind your stasis.

I don't lift, mate. There are different varieties of physical strength. The bigger your arms doesn't mean a damned thing. Bruce Lee could do one finger pushups. That's because the arms aren't even half of the physical disciplinary requirements. My strength comes from doing flips, climbing, holding myself with only my arms, et cetera. However, I used to carry around cinderblocks, but I don't call that lifting. I hold the cinderblocks on each side, while walking a somewhat far distance and back to my house. You should try it. It's much more efficient than the typical weight-lifting scheme.

I actually carry a lot of fire wood when I camp. Does that count? I also do tons of sit ups.

Yes, carrying large weights in a constant sequence builds up strength & endurance. Hell, do yourself a favor and try this example. Stand up from your computer, then extend both arms out like you have wings, then keep your arms at a constant position. Do not move them. Do not bring them back in towards your body. Hold them there, then experience how even the small weight of your arms can take a toll on you. The more you discipline the core strength of your body and mind, the less of a burden this exercise turns out to be.

That's pretty easy, pansy, but I wouldn't expect any more from a Rammstein lover, pansy.

It's funny. I see videos of female's doing exercises reaching top views in places. But I know it isn't people exercising... Obviously masturbating. It's ironic, though. If you think about it.

I spent quite a while trying to work my way up to 100 push ups in a set. I ended up getting to 60 before I bought a weight vest and started doing weighted push ups instead. (I've been doing a few sets of 25 with a 40 lb vest.) I should try to see how many I can do now without it. Probably still less than 100. :\

Those are easy. I have Hercules' legs from jumping off of 10ft+ ledges when I used to free run, mate.

I can only do 5 or 10 pushups

maybe 15 or 20 actually

maybe even more

its been a long time since I've tried doing lots of pushups all I can say is that its a really pathetic number

Yes, I tried it again. It's easy. It really isn't that difficult. I have a lot of endurance. I also have very great balance. I leap off of ledges | | at this length 10ft up above the ground, mate. So my exercises have done well to provide me the ability to do one-leg squats. I was obsessed with doing dangerous stunts.

Average weight for a 6 ft man is around say 75 kilograms. You're falling 10 ft, which is roughly 3 meters plus how much you jump upwards which is, let's say, .5 meters, giving a total of 3.5 meters. Basic physics says you'll be hitting the ground with a velocity of 7.84 meters per second. When you're hitting the ground, you're going from 7.84 m/s to 0m/s, which is an acceleration of 7.84 m/s^2. 7.84 m/s^2 multiplied by the mass of 75 kg gives a force of 585 newtons, which is about roughly 129 pounds of force. The breaking point of bones is 20 to 30 pounds of force.

Sincerely,
A physic major

I can't do 1 push-up but if I did I wouldn't go around boasting it to the internet. I'd tell a friend and just keep the rest to myself to be proud of. You are an egomaniac my friend. You want to impress me? Beat every World's Strongest Man comp with no arms and no legs.

The fact that people have jumped from higher heights and survive no less than I makes me instantly justify your post as mere fantasy. You also could not take the time to include into the formula the breaking of acceleration of which an impact is devoided of its force.

True, I care far too little to do more than two minutes of calculations to check so I'll give you that one.

Meh 400 punch ups is nothing. How many can you do in a day? In fact how many can you do in a minute if you time yourself?
