The one thing I hate about going to bars with friends is seeing that one guy sitting at the bar drowning his sorrows by himself. Why? WHY!? Why can't you call a friend to drink with you? You look less pathetic with friends around. Sure your life sucks but don't deal with your problems alone.

Maybe not that exact predicament but, what if something along the lines of that happened and he HAS friends, be he would rather drink his sorrows away alone.

I'll drink alone, just not at a bar. I don't even understand why people go to bars or diners or restaurants alone. I would never go anywhere like that alone.
I don't drink at all, so I'm not going to have that problem.
If I do take up alcohol, why go out in public to drown my sorrows. I'll just put on some classical music and break out a bottle of Merlot.
It's classier, and doesn't risk the chance of being publicly embarrassed in front of all of your peers.

Lol, guys like you should stop misinterpreting what a persons alone in a bar for.
It's really low to just judge them by their company and looks.
The last thing that person needs is someone that thinks like you, and actually says it to his face.
If your going to drink alone, stay home. The booze is way cheaper.
