I want to be part of this group because I enjoy the show, but the description of a Brony is a guy who is a fan of My Little Pony. So what are the female fans called? "Female My Little Pony Fans"? That's pathetic and doesn't make me feel like I'm a part of anything at all.

I do agree that the word bronies does sound a little to male since bro in it, but sadly thats just how the word came around and everyone accepts it now. So even though it does sound like they are being grouped by a male term, at least all the bronies are equally seen despite what sex they are. So it's only really the bro in the name that could have been better.

If you refer to a single person as a pegasus then the amount of choices that the females are limited. A broad term is then used to describe all people that love mlp and theyare all defines as bronies.
to call a maae a bronie the male can chose a female avi or a male.one.. and range it from.a earth to pegasus pony.. while if you label a female a pegasus then that will limit the outer apearance of the girl to that of pegasus ponies.. effectivly hurting them...
