In my humble opinion, Yes. I never once got an RROD Xbox even when they first came out neither did any of my friends that also got them upon release so I'm sorry but a situation that affects everybody > a situation that only affects some people.
Yes now this thread can finally die. :D
Back on PSN,feels great man

But the PSN outage is going to be over soon and yet there is still the chance for many Xbox users of getting the RROD.
Actually, they're both completely seperate issues for each console. Neither one is better or worse. And to think so just to give your console a better shade of light is laughable.
YEAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry, had to say that... but now I can "get my game on"!
I can’t believe you’ve done this.

Yeah because everyone uses PSN...

Well not really in the sense that both are problems that affect the Console although they do affect different parts, RROD effects the hardware, this fiasco affects the Network. And anyways, I've only once gotten RROD for overheating it but after letting it cool off, I've never gotten it since.
Also you seem to have the mistaken notion that I'm playing the part of the fanboy here, I'm not. For all I care Microsoft, Bill Gates and the 360 can fuck off. If I found another console that had more games that I like than I'd get that one. But at the moment the 360 has the games I enjoy so I play it. I was just comparing this incident to what some would call one of the other biggest console fuck ups which would be the RROD incidents. But I can't really hold an argument to defend that because it's never happened to me the extent that it was bothersome. So yeah, it would be laughable if anyone was trying that but no one here is so yeah...

complete and total hardware failure > disabled feature

No silly billy not everyone as in everyone in the world but everyone who's ever been connected to PSN. Like out of the entire populous of people that have played PSN, this situation affects all of them. In contrast to the RRODs where out of all the people that have ever bought a 360, only some experienced the RROD.

Not everyone who bought a PS3 use PSN. People on the Xbox who don't even connect to the internet could get the RROD. People who got the RROD couldn't play games at all. People who use PSN can play any game they want as long as it isn't Team Fortress 2 or MAG. Like Narf said, it's just a disabled feature. You also didn't have to do anything to have it fixed. Just sit and wait. With the RROD you had to box up your console, send it away, wait a few weeks, and receive your new Xbox. Some people experienced this over and over again too.
I get the feeling you think I've gotten the RROD, but so you know, I haven't even once.

I haven't a clue about mine as I'm not home. I do know that Europe is next after America to get put back online. So really it should be done here within a couple of hours surely.

RROD pretty much made the whole console itself unplayable. Yes some people did the towel trick which made it work temporarily. But that further destroyed their system. When you sent it for repairs it takes 2-3 weeks for it to come back.
You could still play games without psn.. I was busy playing Fallout New Vegas :D
What are you arguin-
Oh ffs.
1) Microsoft extend the warrenty and refurbish or replace any console which has RROD free of charge. It isn't a problem.
2) PSN users have been effected worldwide, the average gaming time lost to the RROD is miniscule compared to the PSN one based on the fact that there are over one million average BFBC2 players. If they all go offline at the same time then the average/overall gaming time drops much more significantly (even if it were the case that 100's of Xbox's broke every day; since they get sent to Germany and brought back in under a week in most cases).
3) Why are PS3 users so stuck up that their console is the better console? It's all subjective. Even though the PS3 has better hardware I prefer pretty much everything about the Xbox console, minus the graphics. I prefer paying for my online service, given how god damn great it is!
So stop bickering...
I think I speak for all of us when I say IT'S ABOUT BLOODY TIME.

The site for the new Deus Ex game got hacked. I'm certain this may be related to the hackery going on with PSN, in which case, I think this may be the beginning of the end of Anonymous, or at the very least, the anons that originally took part in the attack on Sony: with them splintering into several factions, they probably won't have the strength to do something like this again. Also, since they drew the attention of the federal government...
When all else fails, blame the casuals!

I already posted that. And it has very little to do with PSN.
Thank baby Jesus! I can truly procrastinate again!!
