In video games there are so many kids of currency to buy stuff in games, what's your favorite kind? I'm gonna have to go with Gil, it has a simple yet strange name and considering the need for all those phoenix downs and hi-potions, I don't think the currency is going to go under like the USD.

I would have to say Rupee's. They looked cool, were colorful, and made you feel like you really found some treasure. Plus the name is pretty sweet.

I've been fascinated with nesting sub-economies lately. Mochicoins vs. Berzerk Studio diamonds... but the trump currency that fascinates me most is bitcoin.

All modern economies run on faith in currency. So believe in whatever currency you're currently gaming, otherwise it seems less fulfilling that the monster you killed dropped enough gold to alter the planet's gravitational pull.

This, because It seems frankly ludicrous that my character is carrying 38,000 bottlecaps on his person.

WHERE DO THEY GET HELD?

Bolts. You can get over 100,000 them per level if you're that much of a cheapskate.

I was thinking gold pieces, but gil beat GP to #1, also Martin Septim coins for the Elder scrolls series is pretty cool. The real estate in Cyrodil is a bit outrageous, luckily I got a great deal on a home in Anvil, too bad it's haunted...

Mario Galaxy. Star bits. They're currency, food, and ammunition.

Also, they made this nice 'pling' sound when you picked them up, and at least you could tell what they looked like contrary to FF's gil which was no more than a number.

So yeah, I agree with rupees.

The coins from the Super Mario universe in particular. Each of those things is about $65,000, so finding just one is a big deal.

Of course Gil!

I'd love to have a pocket full of Gil, even if they would be worthless here.

Also good shoutout with the Bolts. Truly love that it's like a currency in the Ratchet and Clank games. Always fun to get Bolts.

I agree with you here. RIP Galactic Credits. I have a feeling SWTOR will revive them though.

Ah shit, you beat me. Yes the whole Phantasy Star franchise uses Meseta and in PSO it appears as yellow octahedra (octahedrons). Very freakin' cool.

I also do love Rupees, I mean, they so bad ass.

Gil or Rupees.

No reason, I just do.

Carrying 10,000 bottlecaps at roughly 0.01 grams each = 100 grams or 10kg of bottlecaps.

So thats like 40kg of caps.

I could only BENCH that many caps.
